Japanese Room by RetroDevil/John Moonan Copyright Aug 2014 - All Rights reserved ---------------------------------------------- Product requirements: Poser 6 and up --------------------------------------------------------------------- Inspired by traditional Japanese design, the "Japanese Room" offers users a clean and practical scene to render in. The Japanese room comes complete with many props adorning the shelves and floorspace. All of which can be moved around at will. You can choose to load the Room empty, without any of the props, or full with every item in it's place. Each Item is also available to load seperately to give extra versatility. The Shoji doors can also be opened or closed using a dial, with limits applied meaning the door won't move too far and only in the right direction. Finally the IBL lighting used in the promo images is included and features a sunlight(with IBL ambient light) as well as point lights placed inside the ceiling lamps and the alcoves. (The point lights are turned off as default) NOTE:The lights are only available in Poser TIPS: Each wall is its own Prop so simply selecting the wall you want to HIDE e.g. RD_JR_Sidewall and then UNTICKING the "Visible" box in the properties tab will make the wall invisible. Tick the box again to SHOW the wall if you want it back. You can even keep the wall visible and disable shadows to allow more light in by UNTICKING "Cast Shadows" --------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation Instructions Extract the zip-archive with your zip program: - Open WinZip and press the button -Extract- - In the window Folders/drives, select the folder that contain your Poser program. - The check box -Use Folder names- must be Checked. As default there is an Ambient light and a Sun Light directed towards the front of the building. This gives a nice stream of light coming in from the windows. Results are best when using "Indirect Lighting" in Poser 8 and above. There is also five point lights located in the alcoves and ceiling lights. Each one as default is "OFF" you can turn them on using the "ON" tick box in the lights properties tab. NOTE: Lights are only available in Poser. -Light MAterial: In the material room there is a material called "Lights" This is by default an ambient material. It will be most useful to users of Poser 8 and above. Turn the "ambient value" to 0 if you prefer not to use it. -Hiding Walls: You can hide each wall if you need to get a better camera angle for example. Each wall is its own Prop so simply selecting the wall you want to HIDE e.g. RD_JR_Sidewall and then UNTICKING the "Visible" box in the properties tab will make the wall invisible. Tick the box again to SHOW the wall if you want it back. You can even keep the wall visible and disable shadows to allow more light in by UNTICKING "Cast Shadows" -Camera: Setting the Main cameras Focal Length to around 25mm and the ZDolly to around 60 will allow the camera to spin around inside the room without the need to remove walls etc. -Shoji Doors: Selecting either door and looking at the paramters tab you will notice an Open/Close dial in place of the usual X-Trans. You can use this to open or close the door. It has limits so will never open or close too far. The other transate dials are disabled to stop the door moving away from the frame. If for some reason you want to move the door around freely you can enter the settings menu by clicking the arrow to the right of the dial and then untick the "force limits" check box. -DAZStudio. Although not fully supported The Japanese Room will load fine in DazStudio. The doors will also work as intended. There are no Specific DAZStudio materials included. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Product File list: \Runtime\Textures\Retro_Devil\RD_JapaneseRoom\ RD_JR_Books.jpg RD_JR_Carpet.jpg RD_JR_CeramicFade.jpg RD_JR_CeramicRED.jpg RD_JR_IBL_Image.jpg RD_JR_Kakemono.jpg RD_JR_Orchid.jpg RD_JR_Pages01.jpg RD_JR_Sakura01.jpg RD_JR_Sakura02.jpg RD_JR_ShojiPattern.jpg RD_JR_TeapotRed.jpg RD_JR_Walls.jpg RD_JR_Wood01.jpg RD_JR_hibachi.jpg RD_JR_hibachiREF.jpg TT_Flower01.jpg TT_Flower01TR.jpg TT_Leaves001.jpg TT_Soil.jpg \Runtime\Libraries\Props\ !Japanese Room Empty.png !Japanese Room Empty.pp2 !Japanese RoomFull.png !Japanese RoomFull.pp2 Bedsidetable01.png Bedsidetable01.pp2 Bedsidetable02.png Bedsidetable02.pp2 Books.png Books.pp2 Folded_Futons.png Folded_Futons.pp2 FutonBed.png FutonBed.pp2 Hibachi.png Hibachi.pp2 Hibachi_2.png Hibachi_2.pp2 Kakemono.png Kakemono.pp2 LeftShoji.png LeftShoji.pp2 Orchid.png Orchid.pp2 PottedPlant.png PottedPlant.pp2 RedCups.png RedCups.pp2 RedTeaPot.png RedTeaPot.pp2 RightShoji.png RightShoji.pp2 SakeBottle.png SakeBottle.pp2 Table.png Table.pp2 WhiteCups.png WhiteCups.pp2 WhiteTeaPot.png WhiteTeaPot.pp2 \Runtime\Libraries\Light\ Sunlight IBL.lt2 Sunlight IBL.png \Runtime\Geometries\Retro_Devil\ Japanese_Room_Main.obj L_Shoji.obj RD_JR_BedsideTable.obj RD_JR_Books.obj RD_JR_CupsRedx2.obj RD_JR_CupsWhitex4.obj RD_JR_ExtraFuton.obj RD_JR_Futon.obj RD_JR_Kakemono.obj RD_JR_Orchid.obj RD_JR_PottedPlant.obj RD_JR_SakeBottle.obj RD_JR_Table.obj RD_JR_TeaPotRed.obj RD_JR_TeaPotWhite.obj RD_JR_hibachi.obj R_Shoji.obj RD_JR_AlcoveWall.obj RD_JR_CorridorWall.obj RD_JR_Front_Wall.obj RD_JR_SideWall.obj RD_JR_Veranda.obj \Documentation\ JapaneseRoom.txt License.txt
