Michael 4 should be parented to the Longship before applying any of the Positioning poses.


•NAMING-
This set uses some nautical terms and abbreviations for some of the naming conventions.  For those unfamiliar, here is a brief explanation:
PORT: Left side as it relates to the vessel
STARBOARD (STBD): Right Side as it relates to the vessel
FORE or BOW: Front as it relates to the vessel, though I use Bow for the frontmost areas.
AFT: Rear or back as it relates to the vessel

•OAR INNER and OUTER Poses for M4-
INNER Poses refer to the isle side seat, while OUTER poses reflect the seat closest to the hull.
Each Oar pose for M4 is named for the position of the Oars, not Michael, and correspond to the Oar poses under the Longship folder.
To use the oar poses and rowing poses with best results:
	1) Apply Position Pose for the seat you wish Michael to be in.
	2) Apply one of the Three lower body sitting poses from the proper folder (Port or Starboard)
	3) Apply the Rowing pose to match the position of the oars.

•SIDE RAIL Poses for M4-
The Side Rail poses work best at certain positions on the Longship, due to the curvature of the Rail and Hull.  They are named for these positions (BOW, FORE, etc...).  There are some that may appear to be doubles as a result of adjusting poses for the different rail positions.  Using the Rail Poses in other positions on the Longship will require adjustments to the poses.  The Fore Side Rail and Side Rail poses should be mostly interchangable.  Poses labeled with L work best on the Port side, while those with R work best on the Starboard side.

•POSITIONING Poses-
There are a number of positioning poses for M4 included.  For these to function properly, M4 MUST be parented to the Longship.  These poses will cause M4 to jump to the related position on the Longship.  These contain BODY positioning only, and are useful for placing a preposed M4 in a given position on deck, or placing him to then be posed.


Manual adjustment of conforming clothing may be necessary with some poses to fix poke through or mesh intersection. Manual position adjustment may be necessary with some of the rail poses to eliminate poke-through of parts of the Longship.

For Best results All figures and Clothing should be restored to default positions before applying these poses.

Some of the poses in this product may go past the limits of the original figures and may require some post work in renders and may not be suitable for animation. I have tried to minimize this as much as possible.

While these poses should work with or without IK turned on, IK is recommended. For more about Inverse Kinematics, consult your software documentation.

Thumbnails may not reflect facing or position to the camera.

WEAPONS & SHIELDS
Theses poses are designed to include positioning for the Weapons and Shields where appropriate.  For this to work properly, the Weapon and Shield Smart Props need to be loaded and parented to the proper figure prior to applying the poses.  When working with Multiple M4 figures, make sure to select the M4 you wish new weapons to be parented to before loading the new smart props in order to preserve the functionality of these poses.

*DAZ STUDIO USERS
The Weapon positioning does not work properly in Daz Studio and the weapons may need to be manually repositioned for some poses.  The Author of this set does not support Daz Studio and recommends usage with Poser.

INSTALLATION
___________________________________________________________________
UnZip the package into your Poser Runtime Directory.
This package may be installed in an Internal Runtime (a Runtime directory within the Poser Programs Directory) or an External Runtime (A runtime located elsewhere on the computer).

This product requires:
Poser 6+

Michael 4
Ragnarok for M4 by Mortem Vetus
Viking Longship by Mortem Vetus


Some of these poses may require adjustments to work properly with some outfits and character morphs.
