It was used to execute criminals, often traitors, by hanging and to display their dead bodies as a warning to the population. It was a large structure located at the top of a small hill near the modern Place du Colonel Fabien in Paris, though during the Middle Ages it was outside the city walls and the surrounding area was mostly not built up.The structure was also used for displaying the bodies of those executed elsewhere.The gibbet was a great favourite place of popular historians and historical writers of the 19th century, appearing in many historical novels and pictures. Our reconstruction is based on works of XIXth century architect Viollet-le-Duc. Included are: Gibbet of Montafaucon poser figure ! Installation Instructions: Poser: Unzip into any poser runtime. You will find the items in Camera, Character and Props folders named Cybertenko/Gibbet of Montfaucon. Geometries, Textures and Reflection Maps are stored in respective folders. -------------------------------------- Usage Tips or Limitations: Use of model is very easy, just load included gibbet figure into scene. There are two variant - empty building and (!) where all props are loaded to either default or random positions. You can reposition props as needed. Props (corpses and gallow props) load into default position to front wall, but load unparented so you can duplicate them and easily moved to different loacations. For door grates there are open dial included, for terrace wall there are transition dials visible. Additional tips and guides for using the model you will find on promo pictures. Model is completely UV mapped. For certain parts of models are provided texture templates, other material zones are textured by procedural materials or by tiled textures and templates are not applicable for them. Tiled textures and procedural materials may need adjustments in DAZ studio, Carrara or other 3d applications. All poser props have extracted geometry to obj. mesh files which you can use for importing to other modeling or rendering application.
