--------------------------------------------------- Product Name: Lee-Brooke Railway Gun Copyright 2017 Michael Crisafulli Contact Michael_C via Renderosity Site Mail -------------------------------------- Product Description In 1862 General Robert E. Lee had a Brooke naval cannon mounted on a rail car designed by Confederate Navy Lt. John M. Brooke to help in the defense of Richmond. This fully-rigged Poser figure is based on photos of the car taken in 1865 by a Union photographer after its capture. The railway car, sized for Poser people, has steerable wheel trucks and working brakes. The Brooke cannon can be rolled in and out and elevated. Simple straight track sections with either a grass or gravel roadbed are included. FIGURE The Lee-Brooke Railway Car figure provides full ERC control at the Body level, coordinated so that linked parts of the figure operate together: o Wheels and trucks follow track in a turn o Apply brake o Wheels rotate together o Gun elevates o Gun carriage rolls in and out PROPS Straight track sections o Grass roadbed o Gravel roadbed POSES · Crew - 4 M4 poses . MAT - Full standard texture set CAMERAS · Full camera set for easy viewing and rendering - Includes main, auxiliary, left, right, top, bottom, front, and back cameras TEXTURES: All components are UV-mapped 22 texture maps up to 4000x4000 pixels All texture templates included GEOMETRY The figure and props use external geometry in the Poser geometries folder -------------------------------------- System Requirements: Poser 6 and above, including Poser 11 Tested in DAZ Studio 4.9 -------------------------------------- Ownership Statement: All of the content in this package was created by Michael Crisafulli (Michael_C) and may include derivatives of the following vendor/merchant resources: One or more textures on this 3D model have been created with images from Textures.com. Alexander, and Bernard Kempinski's United State Military Railroads blog, describing his construction of a model for the B&O Railroad Museum. -------------------------------------- Installation Instructions: Unzip files to your main Poser directory, being sure to check "Use Folder Names" and the files will unpack to their proper location. Refer to the file list below for file locations. In general, Lee-Brooke Railway Gun Poser files will be found in the "Michael_C/RailwayGun" folder within each of the Poser sub-libraries (Figure, Pose, etc.) Note that although most of the Poser files may be moved to other locations, the geometries and textures MUST be left in the listed locations. -------------------------------------- Usage Tips: The Brooke-Lee Railway Gun figure includes ERC controls at the Body level. To access the controls the Lee-Brooke Railway Gun figure Body is selected by default. PARAMETER DIALS - The parameter dial groups load collapsed for convenience. Open a group or subgroup to use it. Transform These standard dials control the overall scale and position of the Railway Gun. Set X, Y, Z position and rotation with standard controls The Scale control is provided for resizing the Railway Gun figure in large scenes where matching standard Poser figure size is not needed. Control Roll Wheels – All 14 wheels roll in concert. Turn Car – The front and rear wheel trucks are adjusted in concert to fit a curved track. Adjust Turn – These separate truck controls further adjust the truck and allow for matching an S-curve. Apply Brake – The brake control wheel rotates, the control chain wraps around the wheel post, and the two brake bars rotate against the railcar wheels. (Note that the brake mechanism is incomplete; normally hidden linkage elements under the car are not included.) Release Ratchet – This uncoordinated control moves the pawl away from the ratchet gear. Cannon Elevate Gun - The control screw under the barrel turns and moves up/down as the barrel elevation angle changes. Roll Gun In – The gun carriage rolls on its track. Other Numerous railway track models are available but they differ in track gauge, that is, the distance between the rails. The Lee-Brooke Car defaults to a 5-foot gauge. Match Wheels to Track – This control adjusts the wheel trucks for a range of gauges from approximately 4 feet 6 inches up to 5 feet 11. It will be necessary to rescale tracks that fall outside this range. (Note that at its extremes, the gauge adjustment may interfere with correct turn movement of the wheels and trucks.) POSES Four M4 crew poses are included. Turn off IK before posing figures. Poses may require some adjustment for clothing. The Elevate Gun and Set Brake poses move the M4 figure to positions on the car to perform these operations when the Lee-Brooke Railway Gun is in its default position. (Be sure to parent the figures to the Railway Gun figure if you wish to move them in concert.) Standing and crouching poses are included for a crewman covering his ears. These poses do not change the M4 figure position but do change his facial expression. The Face Reset pose is included to restore his expression to the default. MATs A Mat pose is included to restore the Railway Gun car to its default materials. Roadbed material files are provided in the Materials tab. PROPS The two straight track sections each consist of a track prop and a rail bed prop parented to it. You can manually hide or delete the rail bed prop if you wish to use another terrain. ------------------------------ -- DAZ Studio Compatibility - ------------------------------ The Lee-Brooke Railway Gun figure loads, operates, and renders well in DAZ Studio. DAZ Studio uses different camera designations from Poser so the included camera presets don't all work. Those that work will at least require adjustment. --------------------------------------------------- List of files contained within this product's zip files. :Documentation:Michael_C Lee-Brooke_Railway_Gun_ReadMe.txt Marketplace_Standard_License.txt :Runtime:Geometries:MCC:Lee-Brooke RailCar1UVP.obj RoadBed1UVP.obj Track1UVP.obj :Runtime:libraries:Camera:Michael_C:RailwayGun Lee-Brooke CAM Set.cm2 Lee-Brooke CAM Set.png :Runtime:libraries:Character:Michael_C:RailwayGun Lee-Brooke Car.cr2 Lee-Brooke Car.png :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:RailwayGun Lee-Brooke Car MAT.png Lee-Brooke Car MAT.pz2 :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:RailwayGun:M4 Crew !Reset Face.png !Reset Face.pz2 Cover Ears 1.png Cover Ears 1.pz2 Cover Ears 2.png Cover Ears 2.pz2 Elevate Gun.png Elevate Gun.pz2 Set Brake.png Set Brake.pz2 :Runtime:libraries:Props:Michael_C:RailwayGun Grass Track Section.png Grass Track Section.pp2 Gravel Track Section.png Gravel Track Section.pp2 :Runtime:libraries:material:Michael_C:RailwayGun Grass Roadbed MAT.mt5 Grass Roadbed MAT.png Gravel Roadbed MAT.mt5 Gravel Roadbed MAT.png :Runtime:textures:MCC:Lee-Brooke LB-Armor.jpg LB-ArmorBump.jpg LB-BrakeControl.jpg LB-DeckRails.jpg LB-DeckRailsBump.jpg LB-Front.jpg LB-FrontBump.jpg LB-Gun.jpg LB-GunCarriage.jpg LB-GunCarriageBunp.jpg LB-Sides.jpg LB-SidesBump.jpg LB-Top.jpg LB-TopBump.jpg LB-TrackSection.jpg LB-TrackSection1.jpg LB-TrackSectionBump.jpg LB-TrackSectionBump1.jpg LB-Truck.jpg LB-TruckBump.jpg LB-UpperFrame.jpg LB-UpperFrameBump.jpg Templates\Michael_C\Lee-BrookeRailwayGun Armor.bmp BrakeControl.bmp Deck-Rails.bmp Front.bmp Gun.bmp GunCarriage.bmp Sides.bmp Top.bmp TrackSection.bmp Truck.bmp UpperFrame.bmp
