Roman Glass PS Layer Styles Copyright © 2018 Roberta Dugan Created by: fractalartist01/Roberta B. Dugan --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --Roman glass objects have been recovered across the Roman Empire in domestic, industrial and funerary contexts. Glass was used primarily for the production of vessels, although mosaic tiles and window glass were also produced. Roman glass production developed from Hellenistic technical traditions, initially concentrating on the production of intensely coloured cast glass vessels. However, during the 1st century AD the industry underwent rapid technical growth that saw the introduction of glass blowing and the dominance of colourless or ‘aqua’ glasses. Production of raw glass was undertaken in geographically separate locations to the working of glass into finished vessels, and by the end of the 1st century AD large scale manufacturing resulted in the establishment of glass as a commonly available material in the Roman world, and one which also had technically very difficult specialized types of luxury glass, which must have been very expensive. --Now you can create or accent web or scrapbook pages, elements, ornaments, frames, alphas, jewelry and more with this set of digitally created Roman Glass layer styles for Photoshop 7 and above and PS Elements 7 and Above. --These layer styles have athe look of "pieced together" glass artifacts found in the Roman Empire which can be quite rare. Or you can access this command from the Layers palette by right-clicking on the small layer effects symbol (looks like an f) on your layer, then choosing the Scale Effects command. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) When you choose Scale Effects, the dialog box "Scale Layer Effects" will appear. You can reduce the scale down as low as 1% to make the effects smaller, or increase the scale up to 1000% to make the effects larger. This re-scales every effect used in the Layer Style at once...OR you can just remove/add a shadow, add a stroke or inner bevel, change the pattern scale size, etc. *Checking the "Preview" box will allow you to see as you're adjusting.* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) So the next time you download some layer styles and find they don't look quite the same on your own images as they did in the examples, try scaling the effects and see if it makes a difference. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- File List: [File name] cpd_Roman_Glass_PS_Styles.asl cpd_Roman_Glass_Styles_MAIN.jpg Total number of files = 2 [File name] cpd_RomanGlass_PS_Styles_Readme.txt Renderosity_License.txt Total number of files = 2 Grand Total number of files = 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Copyright notice: --You CAN use these styles to create/style any NEW personal or commercial works. --You CAN NOT however re-distribute or sell them in their original raw form or in a modified form as an .asl/Photoshop styles set.
