--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "CAMPFIRE RING BREAKFAST", by FORESTER All copyrights to this product reserved by FORESTER - July 2018 Ownership statement: All of the content in this package was created by Forester ================================================================ Included in this package: This package contains 25 objects displaying a campfire ring with Western USA style lantern, bedroll and objects for making a typical Western camp breakfast. There also three stones human figures can sit on, one pine log bench and a ground plane with three alternative seamless forestground textures. Specifically, there are -- * A granite stone fire ring with seven moveable stones, * A fire with burning logs, embers, high flames and low flames (all individual items), * Three granite boulders suitable for human figures to sit on, * A pine log bench, * A Coleman-style lantern (with two alternative mantle materials) * An old style blue enameled-steel coffee pot with two matching coffee cups, * A cast iron fry pan, currently holding three pancakes (all individual items), * A cast iron Dutch Oven with lid, currently holding beans and biscuits (all individual items), * An old spatula for the fry pan, * An old wooden spoon for the Dutch Oven, * A battered steel plate (currently holding two fried eggs and two strips of fried bacon (all individual items), * An old Western style blanket canteen, * A wool blanket (typical Western style "bedroll"), * A single ground plane with Bark-type Forest Floor seamless texture. * Two alternative seamless forestground textures are provided (Dry Cover Forest Floor and "Moss Ground Forest Floor") REQUIREMENTS: Any program or application that will import an *.OBJ file. INSTALLATION and USE TIPS: All these items are assembled into a single *.obj file. Import the "CampfireRingBreakfast.obj" file into your application. This will load the all the individual objects and their materials/textures, and you should have access to each of the individual objects in the file. You should be able to move, rotate, copy, re-scale or delete the individual objects. All the objects are UV mapped, so you should be able to change the textures and materials as needed. (If your application requires that the 25 objects be separate *.obj files, please contact Forester via RMP sitemail. I can provide you with a version consisting of the individual *.objs.) The campfire ring and the items placed on the its stones are resting upon a simple plane object that has the Bark ForestFloor material applied to it. This material is seamless. Use of the ground plane is entirely optional. But if you want to use it, you can duplicate the plane as many times as needed to create a continuous surface with the bark forest floor material. If your scene is set in the deep forest, you might want to change the plane's material to the "Moss Forest Floor" material. Alternatively, you might prefer the "Dry Forest Floor" material. (All these materials have very detailed "Normal Maps" so that they will appear to have some depth during your render.) You can pose or arrange the items in your scene in any manner you wish. (For example, you could move the pancakes to the battered steel plate, and move the eggs and bacon into the cast iron fry pan.) You can place pinpoint lights into the two mantles of the Coleman Lantern for a night scene. The Coleman lantern has two different materials for the mantles. One is a fine mesh (best for use with lights for a night scene), and the other has a more dense gauze material (better for daylight scenes, or close-up night scenes). Currently, the more dense material is applied to the mantles. You will find both materials (including their Opacity Mask Mats) in the Textures/Gauze Folder. The Coleman Lantern uses two "opacity maps". One opacity map is for the aluminum center of the lantern body and is called "metal_mesh_oblongerfAlum_Opacity" and provides the perforations in that aluminum material. The other is for the mantles material as described above. Some applications do not "read" the "opacity material" instruction in the *.MTL file, so you may need to load these opacity materials into your Material Editor using a manual method. The Coleman Lantern has a glass part. You may wish to use a standard Glass Material for this part of the Coleman Lantern object. THe fire objects (High Flames and Low Flames) have no materials or textures applied to them. Fire or flame often is a special material provided by each application, so these are left without a material here. If your application does not have a standard fire or flame material, you should consider applying a colored glass material to these object. In the product renders, a simple glass material with a reddish orange color (HSV:15, 210, 185) was applied to the renders to simulate flame colors. You also can apply light to the two flames for a night scene. The method will vary by application, so no instructions are provided here.
