--------------------------------------------------- Product Name: Voskhod 2 Spacecraft Copyright 2018 Michael Crisafulli Contact Michael_C via Renderosity Site Mail -------------------------------------- Product Description The Soviet 2nd generation Voskhod program used a reconfigured Vostok spacecraft. Where Vostok held a large ejection seat for a single cosmonaut, the Voskhod had smaller non-ejectable couches for two or three cosmonauts. After re-entry the Vostok cosmonaut ejected from the descent module and descended on his own parachute, whereas the Voskhod descended on two parachutes with the crew inside. The Voskhod also added a larger instrument package with a back-up retrorocket to the nose of the spacecraft. Otherwise the two spacecraft were essentially the same. Voskhod 1 carried the first multi-person crew to orbit and the Voskhod 2 mission included the first space walk. The Voskhod 2 Spacecraft 3D model is a fully-rigged Poser figure, sized for Poser people, with a detailed cabin interior. The three spacecraft modules are separate parts and can be moved or hidden individually: - Descent module that carried the cosmonaut crew - Equipment module included the main retro engine - Instrument module attached to the top or front of the descent module FIGURE The Voskhod 2 Spacecraft figure has ERC control at the Body level: o Extend inflatable airlock o Open EVA hatch into the airlock o Open airlock exit hatch o Adjust crew seat foot rests o Jettison airlock o Jettison equipment and instrument modules o Jettison parachute cover A version with parented interior lights is included (see SPECIAL LIGHTS below) POSES Voskhod 1 and Voskhod 2 (default) configurations . Many of the photos contain contradictory information; some may be of full-size models, replicas, mockups, or trainers. I've chosen elements of each to provide a representative impression. Likewise many of the spacecraft systems are poorly described. For these I've created what I hope are reasonable approximations. The cabin interior was much more cluttered than I show it. Feel free to greeble it up. -------------------------------------- Installation Instructions: Unzip files to your main Poser directory, being sure to check "Use Folder Names" and the files will unpack to their proper location. Refer to the file list below for file locations. In general, Voskhod Spacecraft Poser files will be found in the "Michael_C/Voskhod" folder within each of the Poser sub-libraries (Figure, Pose, etc.) Note that although most of the Poser files may be moved to other locations, the geometries and textures MUST be left in the listed locations. -------------------------------------- Usage Tips: The Voskhod Spacecraft figure uses ERC controls at the Body level. To access the controls the Voskhod Spacecraft figure Body is selected by default. PARAMETER DIALS - The parameter dial groups load collapsed for convenience. Open a group or subgroup to use it. Transform These standard dials control the overall orientation and position of the spacecraft. Set X, Y, Z position and yaw, pitch and roll rotation with these controls. The Resize scale control is provided for resizing the figure in scenes where matching standard Poser figure size is unnecessary. Control - Extend the inflatable airlock - Open/close the EVA hatch from the cabin into the airlock - Open/close the airlock exit hatch Seats - Separately adjust the crew seat foot rests (Adjustment is limited but may be useful for posing crew). The left seat assembly is visible only in the Voskhod 1 configuration. Jettison - Jettison the airlock assembly after EVA - Jettison the equipment and instrument modules in preparation for re-entry - Jettison the parachute compartment cover These controls cause the separated modules to move and rotate away to facilitate animation. POSES - Configuration poses Voskhod 1 accommodated three crew The default Voskhod 2 EVA mission accommodated two crew - Cosmonaut Crew Poses for M4 and V4 in the Voskhod cabin. These poses are more or less optimized for lightweight jumpsuits, as were worn for the Voskhod 1 mission. A bonus set for M4 in a bulky spacesuit is included. - Hide-Show Hide/show the airlock, main hatch cover, equipment and instrument modules, and the parachute compartment cover. - MATs A MAT pose is included to restore the Voskhod Spacecraft to its default materials. Another MAT pose re-colors the reentry module to reflect a fiery descent. (Note that this pose also turns off the orbital modules.) MAT poses cause light fixtures to glow (see SPECIAL LIGHTS below for usage) - Parachute Poses to use Cybertenko's Round Canopy Parachute (separately available in the Renderosity marketplace). See instructions below. CAMERAS A set of standard cameras is included to provide exterior views of the Voskhod spacecraft; the default Poser cameras do not show the entire spacecraft. The Dolly CAMs Interior folder contains a number of Dolly CAM settings for various interior views. Note that different versions of Poser may handle camera settings differently so some adjustment may be needed for proper rendering. The Exterior folder contains Dolly CAM settings around the end of the airlock. LIGHTS This product includes a set of orbital lights and an optional set of cabin interior and EVA lights. - Orbital lights Defaults with a high sun light angle and a low earth light angle as if the sun is high in the scene sky and the earth below. Move these lights around to match your own scene. The Orbital light set should be loaded to replace the lights that Poser starts with. SPECIAL LIGHTS An optional Voskhod 2 figure with preloaded, parented cabin and airlock lights (Voskhod 2 w/ Lights) is included. These lights will not replace existing lights but will be replaced by any subsequent light that is not ADDed to your scene. Alternatively, you can use the unlighted Voskhod 2 figure and ADD these lights to your scene from the Voskhod/Special Lights folder in the Lights tab. Note that any of these lights may need intensity adjustment for best Firefly or Superfly rendering. Please note that the pre-loaded (parented) EVA and airlock lights are OFF by default and must be manually turned on. There are also Glow MAT poses for use with either of these light sets. - Usage The Voskhod w/ Lights figure loads with lights parented to spacecraft parts that will move with it. The Special Lights in the Lights tab mentioned above need to be individually parented to the associated part if you wish to move the spacecraft. Note again that these lights must be added or they will replace other lights, such as the Orbital Set, in the scene. There are three sets of Special Lights: - Two cabin interior lights - Two airlock interior lights (the preloaded parented version of one of these moves when the airlock is extended) - An exterior EVA lamp Each of the figure parts associated with these lights has a corresponding glow that can be changed with the glow poses. - The cabin interior lamps glow is always on - The airlock interior lamps glow is off by default - The exterior EVA lamp glow is off by default The last two are turned on by the EVA Glow pose and off by the Glow default pose. Note also that the special lights and glows are independent and must be controlled separately ------------------------------ -- Using Cybertenko's Parachute ------------------------------ After reentering the atmosphere, the Voskhod reentry module descended on two parachutes. The Voskhod Poser set includes a MAT-MOR pose to fit two copies of Cybertenko's Round Canopy Parachute separately available product to the spacecraft and apply a new canopy material. 1 Select the Voskhod Body 2 Apply the DM On-Parachute pose (Voskhod/Parachute pose folder). This also applies the post-reentry MAT. 3 With the Voskhod figure selected load the Parachute Suspension prop from the Michael_C/Voskhod props folder 4 Load and select the Deployed Parachute figure from Figures/Cybertenko/Parachute 5 Apply the Parachute 1 MAT-MOR pose (Voskhod/Parachute pose folder) 6 Load and select a second Deployed Parachute figure from Figures/Cybertenko/Parachute 7 Apply the Parachute MAT-MOR 2 pose (Voskhod/Parachute pose folder) to the second parachute 8 If you wish to reposition the reentry module/parachute assembly, parent each Deployed Parachute Body to the ParachuteSuspension prop. Select the Voskhod Body or the DescentMod to translate or rotate. Note: The Parachute MAT-MOR pose files contains texture paths that may be incompatible with MAC systems. These are paths associated with Cybertenko's Round Parachute product and are beyond my control. ------------------------------ -- DAZ Studio Compatibility - ------------------------------ The Voskhod Spacecraft figure loads, operates (mostly), and renders in DAZ Studio (bump maps do not render). DAZ Studio uses different camera designations from Poser so the included camera presets don't all work. Those that work may require some adjustment. The Voskhod Spacecraft figure includes some pre-loaded smart props. Unlike in Poser, the MAT, Configuration and Hide-Show poses don’t automatically apply to these parented props. The props need to be selected one by one and the pose applied individually. For example the Parachute Pack remains visible after applying the On-Parachute pose. It needs to be turned off manually. For some reason the Parachute compartment cover does not move properly in DAZ Studio, so this jettison command does not work. Simply hide the cover as a work-around. I did not test Special Lighting operation. --------------------------------------------------- List of files contained within this product's zip files. :Documentation:Michael_C Voskhod_Spacecraft_ReadMe.txt Marketplace_Standard_License.txt :Runtime:Geometries:MCC:Voskhod ParaPackUV.obj ParachuteSuspensionUV.obj V1coverUV1.obj VoskhodUVP.obj :Runtime:libraries:Camera:Michael_C:Voskhod Voskhod Set.cm2 Voskhod Set.png :Runtime:libraries:Camera:Michael_C:Voskhod:Dolly CAMs:Exterior Airlock End 1.cm2 Airlock End 1.png Airlock End 2.cm2 Airlock End 2.png Airlock End 3.cm2 Airlock End 3.png Into Airlock.cm2 Into Airlock.png :Runtime:libraries:Camera:Michael_C:Voskhod:Dolly CAMs:Interior Inside Airlock 1.cm2 Inside Airlock 1.png Inside Airlock 2.cm2 Inside Airlock 2.png Interior 1.cm2 Interior 1.png Interior 2.cm2 Interior 2.png Interior 3.cm2 Interior 3.png Interior 4.cm2 Interior 4.png Interior 5.cm2 Interior 5.png Interior 6.cm2 Interior 6.png :Runtime:libraries:Character:Michael_C:Voskhod Note about lights.cr2 Note about lights.png Voskhod 2 (w Lights).cr2 Voskhod 2 (w Lights).png Voskhod 2.cr2 Voskhod 2.png :Runtime:libraries:Light:Michael_C:Voskhod Orbit Set.lt2 Orbit Set.png :Runtime:libraries:Light:Michael_C:Voskhod:Special Lights Airlock Lights.lt2 Airlock Lights.png Cabin Lights.lt2 Cabin Lights.png EVA Light.lt2 EVA Light.png NOTE- ADD These Lights.lt2 NOTE- ADD These Lights.png :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:Voskhod Voskhod 1 Config.png Voskhod 1 Config.pz2 Voskhod 2 Config.png Voskhod 2 Config.pz2 :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:Voskhod:Crew M4 Center Seat.png M4 Center Seat.pz2 M4 Left Seat (Voskhod 1).png M4 Left Seat (Voskhod 1).pz2 M4 Right Seat.png M4 Right Seat.pz2 V4 Center Seat.png V4 Center Seat.pz2 V4 Right Seat.png V4 Right Seat.pz2 :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:Voskhod:Crew:Bonus Spacesuited Center Seat.png Center Seat.pz2 Leaving Airlock.png Leaving Airlock.pz2 Left Seat (Voskhod 1).png Left Seat (Voskhod 1).pz2 Right Seat.png Right Seat.pz2 :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:Voskhod:Hide-Show Airlock HIDE.png Airlock HIDE.pz2 Airlock SHOW.png Airlock SHOW.pz2 Main Hatch HIDE.png Main Hatch HIDE.pz2 Main Hatch SHOW.png Main Hatch SHOW.pz2 Mods HIDE.png Mods HIDE.pz2 Mods SHOW.png Mods SHOW.pz2 Parachute Cover HIDE.png Parachute Cover HIDE.pz2 Parachute Cover SHOW.png Parachute Cover SHOW.pz2 :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:Voskhod:MATs GLOW - See ReadMe.png GLOW - See ReadMe.pz2 GLOW EVA Lights ON.png GLOW EVA Lights ON.pz2 GLOW Voskhod Default Lights.png GLOW Voskhod Default Lights.pz2 Re-entry MAT.png Re-entry MAT.pz2 Voskhod Default MAT.png Voskhod Default MAT.pz2 :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:Voskhod:Parachute DM on Parachute.png DM on Parachute.pz2 Parachute 1 MAT-MOR.png Parachute 1 MAT-MOR.pz2 Parachute 2 MAT-MOR.png Parachute 2 MAT-MOR.pz2 Parachute NOT Included.png Parachute NOT Included.pz2 See ReadMe for Parachute Instructions.png See ReadMe for Parachute Instructions.pz2 :Runtime:libraries:Props:Michael_C:Voskhod Parachute Pack.png Parachute Pack.pp2 Parachute Suspension.png Parachute Suspension.pp2 :Runtime:textures:MCC:Voskhod ISS-Orbit-BG.jpg MCC-VSK-Airlock.jpg MCC-VSK-AirlockBump.jpg MCC-VSK-AllGlass.jpg MCC-VSK-AllGlassRE.jpg MCC-VSK-AllGlassTrans.jpg MCC-VSK-AllGlassTransRE.jpg MCC-VSK-EM_0.jpg MCC-VSK-EM_0Bump.jpg MCC-VSK-EM_1.jpg MCC-VSK-EM_2.jpg MCC-VSK-EquipPack.jpg MCC-VSK-EquipPackBump.jpg MCC-VSK-Hatches.jpg MCC-VSK-HatchesBump.jpg MCC-VSK-HatchesRE.jpg MCC-VSK-InstPanInst.jpg MCC-VSK-InstPanInstBump.jpg MCC-VSK-InstPanInstGlow.jpg MCC-VSK-InstPanInstGlowSW.jpg MCC-VSK-InstPanInstSW.jpg MCC-VSK-MiscInt.jpg MCC-VSK-MiscIntBump.jpg MCC-VSK-MiscIntGlow.jpg MCC-VSK-Panels.jpg MCC-VSK-PanelsGlow.jpg MCC-VSK-PanelsSW.jpg MCC-VSK-PanelsSWGlow.jpg MCC-VSK-Para-Suspen.jpg MCC-VSK-Para-SuspenBump.jpg MCC-VSK-ParaComp.jpg MCC-VSK-ParaCompBump.jpg MCC-VSK-Rims.jpg MCC-VSK-RimsBump.jpg MCC-VSK-RimsRE.jpg MCC-VSK-Seat.jpg MCC-VSK-SeatBump.jpg MCC-VSK-Shell.jpg MCC-VSK-ShellBump.jpg MCC-VSK-ShellRE.jpg MCC-VSK-Straps.jpg MCC-VSK-V1EndCover.jpg MCC-VSK-V1EndCoverRE.jpg MCC-VSK-canopy_white.jpg Templates\Michael_C\Voskhod Airlock.bmp AllGlass.bmp EM_0.bmp EM_1.bmp EM_2.bmp EquipPackage.bmp Hatches.bmp InstPanInst.bmp Lights.bmp MiscInt.bmp Panels.bmp ParaComp.bmp ParaPack.bmp ParaSuspen.bmp Rims.bmp Seat.bmp Shellnew.jpg Straps.bmp V1EndCover.bmp
