Dawn, Sora and CatsEyes can all be found at HiveWire 3D. The dress can be used as super-conforming, or semi-conforming, and the dress materials allow you to set your own colors for cloth and pattern individually. Includes 6 body handles, plus tutorials for semi-conforming and the versatile materials. The Cheongsam dress (Cantonese "cheuhngsaam") is a traditional Mandarin outfit that is known as the quintessential Chinese national dress. Also known as "Qipao" in northern China, it originated from the dress of Manchurian women, and is commonly made of silk with a Mandarin collar, with slits on both sides of the skirt. The dress has a diagonal opening from the neck to the right armhole, and is designed to be closed by fastening frog buttons on the right front side. The original cheongsam (or qipao) used to be a wide and loose garment that covered most of the body, but the modern design evolved to a tighter shape that conforms to the female form. The modern cheongsam is worn at Chinese celebrations and festivities. In some Chinese offices, stores and schools, it is also worn as formal wear, or as part of a uniform. The advantages of using it as semi-conforming are: * Supports most Dawn full and partial body morphs. * Only the HIP group will be dynamic, meaning SIMPLER setup and FASTER results. * The lower part will pose more naturally and realistically, which is otherwise difficult with conforming dresses. -To use as conforming: * Drag it from the library over Dawn and pose as usual. -To use as semi-conforming (TUTORIAL): * Conform the dress to Dawn as usual. Apply any body morphs NOW (see details below). * Make sure you have at least 30 frames in the animation timeline. * Move to the last frame in the timeline, and apply your desired pose to Dawn. * Switch to the "Cloth Room" by clicking its tab at the top. * Click "New Simulation" and then the OK button to accept the defaults. * With the dress selected, click its HIP group. * Click the "Clothify" button. * In "Object to clothify", make sure "HIP" from the dress is selected, and click "Clothify". * Click the "Colide Against" button. * From the dialog that opens, click the "Add/Remove" button. * Check the box on "Dawn" and then click the "Ok" button. * Click the "Ok" button to close the collision objects. * Click the "Calculate Simulation" button to start the simulation. * That's it! Only the HIP of the dress will be simulated, so it should be quick! Apply any body morphs you want BEFORE creating the cloth simulation. If you wish to change or apply morphs afterwards, follow these steps: * Select the dress HIP group, and set the "dynamics" parameter to zero, * Set your Dawn morph to the desired value at the last frame, * Select the dress HIP again and set the "dynamics" parameter back to "1", * Run the simulation again in the Cloth Room. -Watch my VIDEO TUTORIAL on semi-conforming this dress here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8ubuuAZg5U Versatile Materials (TUTORIAL): The materials are SUPER versatile, allowing you to change cloth and pattern colors to anything you like. To do that, follow these steps: * Switch to the Materials Room, and then click the "Advanced" tab. * Select the "Cloth" material from the dress. This should show the main dress material on the right side. * On the top right side, locate the "Mask Color Maker" node. From this node, you can change "Pattern Color" and "Cloth Color" to anything you like. You should only use these 2 parameters. Do not change the "Mask" color. * Repeat the process for the "Neck" and "Sleeves" materials. * The other materials use simple colors, so you only need to set their "diffuse color". -Watch my VIDEO TUTORIAL on custom materials for this dress here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMnWheiBmcY NOTE: Smaller versions of both Tutorials are included in the ReadMe folder. These versions require the NVENC x.265 codec, which can be downloaded for free on the Internet. If you have VLC (VideoLAN), this codec is supported by default. : Tips: * This outfit has built-in morph support for Dawn, Sora and CatsEyes. * Use the 6 body handles to adjust the bottom part of the dress when necessary. You can either drag the red cubes with the mouse, or use their posing dials. * There are helper presets to show/hide the body handles. The handles are configutred NOT to show on renders, but sometimes Superfly amy render them anyway. You can hide them in this case. * The material presets are provided in 3 categories, each using several color variations over a different pattern. You are NOT LIMITED to these color presets - you can set your own colors to all these presets and patterns. * If you want to use a sitting pose, please use Dawn's "Legs bend" dial. The dress has a special morph that is only activated when this dial is used. * A texture template is included so you can create your own textures for the outfit. Nutritional Facts: * This product is *not* edible. In case of accidental ingestion, please consult your psychiatrist as soon as possible. -------------------------------------- Files Included in the Product: Poser Version: HiveWire 3D EULA.txt ReadMes\Ken1171 Designs\ Cheongsam Dress Semi-Conforming-x265.mp4 Cheongsam Dress for Dawn ReadMe.txt Cheongsam Dress Setting up custom colors-x265.mp4 Templates\Ken1171 Designs\Cheongsam Dress for Dawn\ CheongsamDress.png \Runtime\Geometries\Ken1171\Dawn\Clothing\CheongsamDress\ CheongsamDress.obj \Runtime\Libraries\Character\Dawn\Clothing\Cheongsam Dress\ Cheongsam Dress.cr2 Cheongsam Dress.png \Runtime\Libraries\Materials\Dawn\Clothing\Cheongsam Dress\ !Default.mc6 !Default.png \Runtime\Libraries\Materials\Dawn\Clothing\Cheongsam Dress\Pattern 1\ P1_Black.mc6 P1_Black.png P1_Blue.mc6 P1_Blue.png P1_Gold.mc6 P1_Gold.png P1_Green.mc6 P1_Green.png P1_Panda.mc6 P1_Panda.png P1_Purple.mc6 P1_Purple.png P1_Red.mc6 P1_Red.png \Runtime\Libraries\Materials\Dawn\Clothing\Cheongsam Dress\Pattern 2\ P2_Black.mc6 P2_Black.png P2_Black2.mc6 P2_Black2.png P2_Blue.mc6 P2_Blue.png P2_Blue2.mc6 P2_Blue2.png P2_Green.mc6 P2_Green.png P2_Green2.mc6 P2_Green2.png P2_Panda.mc6 P2_Panda.png P2_Panda2.mc6 P2_Panda2.png P2_Purple.mc6 P2_Purple.png P2_Purple2.mc6 P2_Purple2.png P2_Red.mc6 P2_Red.png P2_Red2.mc6 P2_Red2.png P2_White.mc6 P2_White.png P2_White2.mc6 P2_White2.png \Runtime\Libraries\Materials\Dawn\Clothing\Cheongsam Dress\Pattern 3\ P3_Black.mc6 P3_Black.png P3_Black2.mc6 P3_Black2.png P3_Blue.mc6 P3_Blue.png P3_Blue2.mc6 P3_Blue2.png P3_Green.mc6 P3_Green.png P3_Green2.mc6 P3_Green2.png P3_Panda.mc6 P3_Panda.png P3_Panda2.mc6 P3_Panda2.png P3_Purple.mc6 P3_Purple.png P3_Purple2.mc6 P3_Purple2.png P3_Red.mc6 P3_Red.png P3_Red2.mc6 P3_Red2.png \Runtime\Libraries\Pose\Dawn\Clothing\Cheongsam Dress\ Hide Handles.png Hide Handles.pz2 Show Handles.png Show Handles.pz2 \Runtime\Textures\Ken1171\Dawn\Clothing\CheongsamDress\ CD_BlackPattern1.jpg CD_BlackPattern2.jpg CD_BlackPattern3.png CD_Normal.jpg
