Product Name: Beach Backgrounds 3 Copyright Date: September 2012 Developers Name: Penelope B. Chisholm (legal) aka Rowan 54 or Rowan Chisholm ***** Product Description: 21 photos ranging from 1600x956 (1.5 megapixel) to 3000x4000 or 4000x3000 (12 megapixels). These big beautiful photos show a variety of moods, weather, conditions, and camera angles. They are of late-winter/early-spring Washington State beaches, which have frequent storms walking towards them over the mighty Pacific Ocean. The beaches are bordered by eroded cliffs where trees are permanently bent from the constant winds. These beaches saw Native Americans in the past, explorers from Europe and Russia in the 1700s, European settlers in the 1800s, and those traveling to the Alaskan gold rush in the early 1900s. Currently, the locals drive on the beach in old pickup trucks and then dig clams. These photos would be the perfect backdrops for your pictures of pirates, mermaids, shipwrecks, beach combers, dragons, or whatever you can think of. You could even use these photos as pictures on the walls of your 3D peeps' dwellings. I left space in each photograph for characters, vehicles or buildings when I took the pictures; however, each picture will stand alone. My only editing to the photos were to remove people, vehicles, signs and garbage. (Note: If I could tell where I made the edit after having done it, then the edited photo didn't make the final cut for the packet. You won't be able to tell where the edits were.) ***** Software Compatibility: Anything that will open a .jpg file. 3rd party products needed to use this product: probably a graphics program Installation Instructions: Unzip to the location where you'd like to keep your background photos. Usage Instructions: Use as a background to that girl in the skimpy bikini, or the pirates landing on the beach. Your choice.... Useage tips: Rendering 3D characters to add to a background? Here's a quick list of some very basic hints. (There is MUCH more that can be done...and too much to explain here.) (1) Make sure the characters are at the same angle as the background. (2) Check that light on the character is close to the same intensity, the same color and the same angle as what is in the photo. (3) They need shadows so that they don't float. Make a new layer below the character, use a very soft round brush, black, 33% opacity OR LESS and brush around the feet and where the character will be touching things. If you can make the shadows realistic, kudos...but for cartoon characters and places where it won't show much, a roundy shadow works just fine. Digital photos are almost never completely sharp at the 100% size, which is why I provided large pictures. This way you can reduce them to 50% or 75% where the sharpness is much higher and still have a large picture. (I did choose photos that were as sharp as I, and my camera, could manage...but digital photos still aren't quite sharp at 100% no matter what the equipment is...just an annoying little fact of life!) ***** Complete list of sizes 1600x956 (1 photo) (1.5 megapixels) (Beach3_05_Rowan54.jpg) 1600x1200 (2 photos) (1.9 megapixels) (Beach3_06_Rowan54.jpg, Beach3_18_Rowan54.jpg) 3000x2363 (1 photo) (7.1 megapixels) (Beach3_01_Rowan54.jpg) 3000x2912 (1 photo) (8.7 megapixels) (Beach3_15_Rowan54.jpg) 4000x2580 (1 photo) (10.3 megapixels) (Beach3_02_Rowan54.jpg) 4000x2706 (1 photo) (10.8 megapixels) (Beach3_04_Rowan54.jpg) 3000x4000 (1 photo) (12 megapixels) (Beach3_03_Rowan54.jpg) 4000x3000 (13 photos) (12 megapixels) (all the rest) ***** Files List and Folder Location Files included: \BEACH\ \Beach Backgrounds 3\ Beach3_01_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_02_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_03_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_04_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_05_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_06_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_07_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_08_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_09_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_10_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_11_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_12_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_13_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_14_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_15_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_16_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_17_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_18_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_19_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_20_Rowan54.jpg Beach3_21_Rowan54.jpg \Documentation\ Beach_3_read_me.txt "The developer owns the copyright and/or has the rights to distribute all of the content contained within this ZIP file."
