Each turtle is now presented as a ready to render character. Turtles are characterized by a special bony shell developed from their ribs and acting as a shield. A "turtle" may refer to the order as a whole (American English) or to fresh-water and sea-dwelling testudines. The earliest known members of this group date from 220 million years ago, making turtles one of the oldest reptile groups and a more ancient group than snakes or crocodilians. There are 356 known living species today, many of which are highly endangered. The Nature's Wonders Turtles base set includes the generic turtle model with the Red-eared Slider character. The set has both native DAZ Studio and Poser versions and supports Iray, 3Delight, Firefly and Superfly render engines. This is a fully articulated model with over 100 morphs to control shaping and posing.
