Dugan of Color Palette Designs ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~~Kalamkari~~ --Historically, Kalamkari used to be termed as Pattachitra, an art form still found in neighboring (Odisha) and other parts of India and Nepal. --The term "Pattachitra" (Sanskrit: पट्टचित्र) translates to "patta", meaning "cloth", with "chitra" meaning "picture or painting.") --In modern times, traditional techniques have been replaced by digital techniques. In this era, new techniques are introduced and the digital files of Kalamkari have been introduced widely over the regions of India and Iran. --Nowadays, in India, silk, mulmul, cotton, and synthetic sarees are also sold with a digital Kalamkari print. Printing is a much easier task than traditional Kalamkari work. Kalamkari dupattas and blouse pieces are popular among Indian women. --Kalamkari often depicts epic scenes such as the Ramayana or Mahabharata. However, there are recent applications of the Kalamkari technique to depict Buddha and Buddhist art forms. --In recent times, many aesthetically good figures such as animals or religious icons, flowers, Buddha and few Hindu symbols, like paisley, yin yang, elephant (ganesha), lotus blossoms and peacocks are also introduced to Kalamkari. The cloth paintings can be done on silk, satin or other high end fabric. Many have introduced silver and especially gold to the digital prints on the fabrics. Modern women accessorize their Kalamkari garments with heavy gold/silver necklaces and matching filigree drop earrings and bracelets with gemstones. --------------------------------------------------------------- --Beautiful flowers and paisley along with assorted Buddhist symbols were chosen for this set of 24 Photoshop Layer Styles. Each style is 300 dpi meaning, they can be used for printing design or the web. --Seamless Kalamkari patterns measuring 600 pixels by 600 pixels are inserted each inside each layer style. --Clicking on the thumbnails will show you swatches of each layer style as well as some styled examples of images to give you a closer look at more. Most images are shown with the layer styles at 50% of size. (or smaller) --These are a set of 24 PS layer styles that you get in one .asl file for Photoshop only! They have been tested and will work in Photoshop 7 and Above, Photoshop CS and Above as well as Photoshop CC 2019 and 2020 and 2021. --Just remember that PS Layer Styles have much more inside than a pattern or texture! There are shadows, light, gradients, strokes, bevels, sizing, etc. which are all added by myself. That's why they are often called "one-click" wonders! (I have done almost all of the work for you-unless you prefer to make adjustments) --Try them as side or top borders, alphas, frames, shapes, clothing, wallpaper, text and brush layers. Your imagination is the only think that might limit you. --These are perfect for creating all kinds of Kalamkari patterned extras for your 2D renders and 3D characters and are a design resource.
