This is a Python script to automate the posing of long bone chains figure items that ship with no posing dials. Examples are whips, tails, ropes, chains, and tentacle figures. How many of such figures you have never used because they have no posing dials, where manually posing long bone chains is discouraging? This script came to help with that by offering a simple universal tool that can pose just about any figure that have bone chains! These are some of the main features: * Universal: works with any figure that contains bone chains! * Pose ANY bone chain with simple sliders. * 4 different chain posing methods: Bend, S-Bend, Wave, and Spiral. * Pose the entire chain, or parts of it, depending on what is selected! * Combine any of the 4 chain posing methods in any order. * Bend individual X, Y and Z axes with different posing methods. * Reset the entire chain, only parts of it, or by individual axis. * Customize the Wave bending frequency to create more posing variety. * Fully illustrated built-in PDF manual (launch it from the script!). * Ability to disable auto-docking. * Smart dockable panel integrates seamlessly with Poser. It will not work with older versions. In Poser, click Help > About Poser to see what version you have installed. The version is displayed on the bottom left corner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Installation Instructions: You can install this Python script in 2 different ways (requires Poser 12.0.703 or newer): 1. If you have the ZIP file: from Poser's main menu, choose File > Install from ZIP archive. 2. From Poser's built-in store: From the library's "Purchase" tab, click the "Renderosity" option. Now locate your purchased Python script tool, and click the respective "Install" button. Once the script is installed, it will show it in Poser's main menu, from the Scripts menu. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Usage Tips: * The sliders send incremental data to Poser 12 in real-time, so please move them slowly to maximize their range. Moving them fast may have little to no effect on the posing because Poser will not have enough time to catch the increments (happens in real-time). * The sliders' central position means nothing. The rotations do not happen in relation to it. The only thing that matters is in what direction the sliders are move to: positive (right) or negative (left). * You can reset any slider position by right-clicking it. This doesn't affect the chain posing - it just resets the slider back to the center position, so you get more space to add/remove rotations to that axis. * You can reset the actual axis rotations by holding down the CTRL key when you right-click it. This will affect all sliders of the same axis. * Resetting the X axis on Chain Bend will also reset the X slider in S-Bend, Wave, and Spiral, since they all control the same axis. The same happens to Y and Z sliders. * Please consult the fully illustrated PDF manual for more details. * Pressing the ESC key closes the tool without confirmation! * The Chain Control tool is a native Poser panel, and can be freely resized, positioned, and even docked into the Poser interface. It will remember it's last position, size, and docking state next time you launch it. * Auto-docking can be disabled by clicking the docking toggle button at any time. * You can open the PDF manual at any time by clicking the "?" Help button at the bottom right. **DISCLAIMER: Tool performance may be affected by figures with HEAVY geometry (very high poly count) on the bone chains because the posing happens in real-time.
