They will help you create fast and easy (and beautiful) cabochon earrings, brooches, necklaces, bracelets, picture frames and more. --Apply to brush layers, custom shapes, geometric picture frames, etc. for a quick and easy elegant look. Click on the thumbnails below to check out a few of the different ways this set might inspire you. --Please feel free (and encouraged) to open them up and re-scale the marble patterns both up & down...depending of course, on the shape and size of the gem, jewel, household design or image you will be creating. I found that I needed to re-scale almost every time, since the different sizes and shapes that I might be working on were so often varied. --You will find quick text instructions for how to install, rescale, and modify your new layer styles set inside the enclosed "ReadMe" text file. Once you understand how to open and make slight adjustments to your layer styles, you are going to find that you just can't live without them! Unzip and extract these styles (.asl file) into whereever you keep your Adobe/Photoshop 7, CS (or Photoshop CS2, CC)/Presets/Styles directory. 2. Open Photoshop. 3. If you don't already have your Styles window visible, click on "Window" and then "Styles" 4. In your "Styles" Window, click on the little triangle in a circle, that's pointing to the right. (located in the upper right hand corner below the "open/close") of the styles box 5. Select "Load Styles" from the Drop Down Box 6. Locate and Choose/highlight/load the desired .asl file(s) (.asl file=layer styles extension) into your Photoshop Styles Tool Palette 7. Or you can access this command from the Layers palette by right-clicking on the small layer effects symbol (looks like an f) on your layer, then choosing the Scale Effects command. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) When you choose Scale Effects, the dialog box "Scale Layer Effects" will appear. You can reduce the scale down as low as 1% to make the effects smaller, or increase the scale up to 1000% to make the effects larger. This re-scales every effect used in the Layer Style at once...OR you can just remove/add a shadow, add a stroke or inner bevel, change the pattern scale size, etc. *Checking the "Preview" box will allow you to see as you're adjusting.* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) So the next time you download some layer styles and find they don't look quite the same on your own images as they did in the examples, try scaling the effects and see if it makes a difference. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *** Please read the updated TOU (below) so that you can safely use the designer resource tool in your creations!*** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Copyright notice: You CAN use these styles to create/style any NEW personal or commercial works.
