---------------------------------------------------- "Fire Portal for Poser", by evargas All copyrights to this product reserved by E. Vargas (evargas) - Dec/2022 Ownership statement: All of the content in this package was created by evargas using the following resources: - Produced by the artist himself using advanced techniques on visual effects (VFX). ---------------------------------------------------- Installation instructions: For automatic installation use Poser's in-app "purchases" tab. For manual installation extract the zip folder "Runtime" over your Runtime of preference. Included in this product: - 4 volumetric fire/smoke portals; - Complex material for Superfly using Cycles shader nodes; - 3 volume resolutions available for each portal (low, medium, high); - Tubular frame of each portal (as simple gray geometry, no material applied), for spatial reference of flames origin. Note: for use in Superfly only. Fire/smoke won't render in Firefly. How to use: The portals can be found in the "character" library, the tubular frames in the "props" library, choose one and double clicking on it, or drag/drop into your scene. Rendering: It will only render in Superfly, "max transparent bounces" must be set to 512 or higher for best results. The most important dial is named "Resolution LOW-HIGH", find it in the parameters tab under category "Other", once you load/select one of the portals. By default it is set to 0, which is the lowest resolution, to avoid overloading your viewport. Depending on your scene, camera, and computer resources available you might want to use one of the other resolutions available for rendering: 1 (medium) or 2 (highest). [Optional] The visuals of fire/smoke actors can be changed via custom dials in the Pose room. For the color dials you might want to edit in the material room, but this is up to you, the dials are dynamically connected to the shader nodes. Fire, smoke are separate actors, so you can hide it individually if you need. Find below a description of the custom dials, the defaults work fine in most cases, only change it if you need or want to experiment. As a general good practice avoid extreme values as it can lead to strange visual results. Custom dials description for: ... actor SMOKE - ClassCutoff (0-1000): only materials with suffix above this value will be displayed. Use this hide unwanted original data. - Density_Base_Value: density value shared by all classes (always added). - Density_Step_Value: incremental value. This is cumulative as the material class increases. - Absorption_Scatter_Mix: 0 means absorption volume only, 1 means scatter volume only, 0.5 is 50%/50% mix. - Absorption_ColorR,G,B: color to be used for the absorption volume. - Scatter_ColorR,G,B: color to be used for the absorption volume. - Scatter_Anisotropy: anisotropy for the scatter volume. ... actor FIRE - ClassCutoff: explained before. - TemperatureK_Base_Value: temperature value shared by all classes (always added). - TemperatureK_Step_Value: temperature cumulative increment for subsequent classes. - EmissionStrength_Base_Value: emission strength value shared by all classes (always added). - EmissionStrength_Step_Value: emission strength cumulative increment for subsequent classes. Disk space usage (geometries folder only): 458 Mb. Requirements: Poser 11+. Product developed using Poser 12.0.1029, running on PC/Windows.
