The Phantom of the Opera was described as a middle-aged man with incredibly pale skin. His face was described as terrifying, with an expression of "mortal shame." He had sharp jaws, and his nose was so thin that it almost disappeared. His eyes were deeply set, and his dark hair fell around his face. Eric, The Phantom of the Opera was often seen wearing a mask that covered part of his face. This mask was meant to conceal his deformity, which was caused by a natural defect. The mask was described as white and blank, resembling the face of death. Another characteristic feature of the Phantom of the Opera was his hands. They were described as thin and long, resembling claws. He had exceptional musical abilities and was capable of playing the organ like no one else. He was also notorious for his mysterious escapes and his ability to move unnoticed. Overall, it can be said that the Phantom of the Opera was a haunting figure that evoked fear, fascination, and inexplicable dread. His appearance and mysterious nature added tension and mastery to the story. The origin of the Phantom, known as Erik, is revealed through the story. Erik was born in a small town in Normandy, France, as the son of a master mason. However, he was born with a facial deformity that made him appear grotesque and caused him to be shunned by society. As Erik grew older, he became skilled in various arts and acquired exceptional knowledge in architecture, music, and magic. Due to his talents, he found work as an architect and a ventriloquist, but his physical appearance and his dark, tortured soul made it difficult for him to fit into society. Eventually, Erik's path led him to Paris, where he became captivated by the beauty of the Paris Opera House. He discovered the labyrinthine passages and hidden chambers beneath the opera house, which became his sanctuary. Erik's obsession with music grew, and he used his skills to manipulate and haunt the opera house.
