Storm after storm batters the ocean, churning waters and creating very rough seas. The Rough Seas product captures these waves and foamy waters and allows a subject to be placed right there among the waves. Each of the ten distinct ocean models covers a square area of about ten human heights in size, enough to give the impression of a vast ocean, particularly if placed next to each other. The models were derived from a fluid dynamics simulation, so each model is unique with varying wave heights, distribution and amount of foamy wave crests. A life-saver ring prop is provided as a bonus, because, well, you will most likely need one… I hope these new prop models will add a splash of fun to your scenes. Happy rendering! Usage tips/limitations: The ocean prop models are envisioned to represent a 3D volume material, thus there are no texture maps supplied. By default, DAZ Studio’s water Iray shaders are applied to the modes. However, each model is comprised of two layers. The lower layer (named ocean#, # = 1-10) has an Iray water shader applied, while the upper layer (ocean#f, # = 1-10) has a transparency (cutout) representing the foam on the wave crests.
