--------------------------------------------------- Product Name: L-1 Zeppelin Copyright 2024 Michael Crisafulli Contact Michael_C via Renderosity Site Mail -------------------------------------- Product Description Ferdinand von Zeppelin conceived rigid airship design in the late 19th century. When they began to be built at the beginning of the 20th century, his name was applied as a general term for these vehicles. The company Deutsche Luftschiffahrts-AG (German airship travel) flew the first commercial Zeppelins in 1910. As WW I approached Zeppelins were built for military reconnaissance and bombing missions use as well. Zeppelin LZ 14 was built for the Imperial German Navy and given the navy designation L-1. First flown late in 1912 it was lost in a storm over the North Sea the following September. The L-1 Zeppelin 3D model, provided as the historical navy version and an imaginary passenger version is a fully-rigged Poser figure, sized for Poser people. Although designed for Poser, it is compatible with DAZ Studio (see notes below). These images may not be redistributed by default. Please visit www.textures.com for more information. Public domain graphics from Wikimedia. -------------------------------------- Notes on the Model I based the design on historical photos and used period photos and drawings of other Zeppelins as a guide for some details.  -------------------------------------- Installation Instructions: Unzip files to your main Poser directory, being sure to check "Use Folder Names" and the files will unpack to their proper location. Refer to the file list below for file locations. Components are found in the "Michael_C/Zeppelin" folder within each of the Poser sub-libraries (Figure, Pose, etc.). Note that although most of the Poser files may be moved to other locations, the geometries and textures MUST be in the listed locations. -------------------------------------- Usage Tips: The L-1 Zeppelin figure uses ERC controls at the Body level. For easy access to the controls the figure's Body loads selected by default. PARAMETER DIALS - The parameter dial groups load collapsed for convenience. Open a group or subgroup to use its dials. Transform Resize - This dial changes the size of the entire figure. The rotation controls are named for aircraft rotation axes: Yaw – left and right, Pitch – up and down, Roll – rotation around the long axis. Other transform dials control position of the L-1 Zeppelin aircraft figure within the scene. Main Control Steer – Moves the rudders coordinated with the Rudder Wheel in the forward gondola Elevators – Moves the elevators coordinated with the Elevator Wheel in the forward gondola Spin Propellers – Moves together Other Control Operate the three engine telegraph levers in the forward gondola independently. The respective telegraph receiver pointers near the engines follow the controls. Operate the three separate engine control levers independently. Operate the transmission clutch and Forward-Reverse levers independently. Gates, Hatches + Unlatch and open the gondola gates and cabin door separately. Open two of the windows in the forward gondola windscreen independently. Open the hatches at the top of the ladders in the gondolas separately. Open the top gun platform hatch. LIGHTS o Simple day and night sets ------------------------------ -- DAZ Studio Compatibility -- Tested in DAZ Studio 4.21 to the extent that parameter controls and various figure poses work as intended. I've made no attempt to convert or optimize materials. The L-1 Zeppelin figure loads, operates and renders in DAZ Studio. The individual props (MGs , tables, etc) must be individually selected in Studio to hide. DAZ Studio uses different camera designations from Poser so the included camera presets don't all work. Those that work may require adjustment. ------------------------------ -- Using separate M1919 machine gun Marketplace product – 1. Hide the Cabin Guns 2. Load and select adh3d/M1919 submachine/M1919 figure 3. Apply Zeppelin/Etra/M1919 Cabin Left or right to M1919 figure Parent the M1919 figure to the L-1 Zeppelin actor if you want to move the Zeppelin. ------------------------------ List of files contained within this product's zip files. :Documentation:Michael_C L-1 Zeppelin_ReadMe.txt L-1 Zeppelin_Promo.pdf Marketplace_Standard_License.txt :Runtime:Geometries:MCC:Zeppelin AltGunMTuv-P.obj Barrel1pdr-P.obj Barrel1pdrA-P.obj Barrel1pdrB-P.obj Base1pdr-P.obj Chair2UV3A-P.obj DoorGrill-P.obj GunMTuv-P.obj L1AirshipUV4-P.obj L1PropBlurUV-P.obj MGdrum-P.obj MGmag-P.obj MGpylon-P.obj MGuv-P.obj StairUV-P.obj StepsUV-P.obj table2UV-P.obj tablecloth-P.obj Yoke1pdr-P.obj :Runtime:libraries:Camera:Michael_C:Zeppelin L-1 Set.cm2 L-1 Set.png :Runtime:libraries:Camera:Michael_C:Zeppelin:Dolly CAMs Aft Gondola 1.cm2 Aft Gondola 1.png Aft Gondola 1.xmp Aft Gondola 2.cm2 Aft Gondola 2.png Aft Gondola 3.cm2 Aft Gondola 3.png Aft Gondola 4.cm2 Aft Gondola 4.png Cabin 1.cm2 Cabin 1.png Cabin 2.cm2 Cabin 2.png Cabin Int 1.cm2 Cabin Int 1.png Cabin Int 2.cm2 Cabin Int 2.png Cabin Int 3.cm2 Cabin Int 3.png Fwd Gondola 1.cm2 Fwd Gondola 1.png Fwd Gondola 2.cm2 Fwd Gondola 2.png Fwd Gondola 3.cm2 Fwd Gondola 3.png Fwd Gondola 4.cm2 Fwd Gondola 4.png Fwd Gondola 5.cm2 Fwd Gondola 5.png Fwd Gondola 6.cm2 Fwd Gondola 6.png Gun Platform 1.cm2 Gun Platform 1.png :Runtime:libraries:Character:Michael_C:Zeppelin L-1.cr2 L-1.png Passenger Transport.cr2 Passenger Transport.png :Runtime:libraries:Character:Michael_C:Zeppelin:Basic L-1 (Basic).cr2 L-1 (Basic).png :Runtime:libraries:Light:Michael_C:Zeppelin Daylight.lt2 Daylight.png Moonlight.lt2 Moonlight.png :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:Zeppelin:Extra M1919 Cabin Left.png M1919 Cabin Left.pz2 M1919 Cabin Right.png M1919 Cabin Right.pz2 !
