--------------------------------------------------- Product Name: Zeppelin Hangar Copyright 2024 Michael Crisafulli Contact Michael_C via Renderosity Site Mail -------------------------------------- Product Description Zeppelins were big but lightweight and somewhat fragile things that are susceptible to relatively light breezes. A giant shed or hangar provided protection from weather for safe storage or for maintenance, but it was difficult to maneuver the zeppelin into the shed through a comparatively small doorway. Some land-based hangars were mounted on turntables to turn them into the winds. A somewhat simpler approach was to float the shed on a pond or lake so it could be turned by tugs. This Zeppelin hangar, based on various historical photographs is a fully-rigged Poser figure, sized for Poser people. Although designed for Poser, it is compatible with DAZ Studio (see notes below). FIGURE o Configurable Zeppelin Shed The poseable hangar figure has ERC controls at the Body level that: o Open the small personnel doors individually o Open the large hangar doors (configuration with doors) PROPS o Pre-loaded morphing flags o Foundation for a dry-land hangar o Floating extension for on-water version o Handling line smart props for M4 POSES Three hangar configurations o Simple open-ended shed o Shed with end wall with large opening o Shed with large doors that close off the end Position Poses These poses reset the shed vertical position to better match an environment ground or water position. Depending on the environment, further adjustment may be necessary. Utility HIDE-SHOW poses Handling Crew o 8 M4 poses (water position) MATs o Default MAT CAMERAS o Full camera set positioned for easy viewing and rendering of the full Zeppelin figure. Includes main, auxiliary, left, right, top, bottom, front and back cameras. o Dolly Camera settings for interior and exterior views. LIGHTS o Simple day and night sets TEXTURES Image maps up to 4000x4000. All components are UV-mapped with texture templates included. GEOMETRY All components use external geometry in the Poser geometries folder. -------------------------------------- System Requirements: Poser 6 and above Compatible with DAZ Studio (see Compatibility notes below) -------------------------------------- Ownership Statement: All of the content in this package was created by Michael Crisafulli (Michael_C) and may include derivatives of the following vendor/merchant resources: One or more textures on this 3D model have been created with images from Textures.com. These images may not be redistributed by default. Please visit www.textures.com for more information. Public domain graphics from Wikimedia. -------------------------------------- Notes on the Model I based the shed on historical photos of several different zeppelin hangars.  -------------------------------------- Installation Instructions: Unzip files to your main Poser directory, being sure to check "Use Folder Names" and the files will unpack to their proper location. Refer to the file list below for file locations. Components are found in the "Michael_C/Zeppelin/Hangar" or "Michael_C/Zeppelin" folder within each of the Poser sub-libraries (Figure, Pose, etc.). Note that although most of the Poser files may be moved to other locations, the geometries and textures MUST be in the listed locations. -------------------------------------- Usage Tips: The Zeppelin Hangar figure uses ERC controls at the Body level. For easy access to the controls the figure's Body loads selected by default. PARAMETER DIALS - The parameter dial groups load collapsed for convenience. Open a group or subgroup to use its dials. Transform Resize - This dial changes the size of the entire figure. Other standard transform dials control rotation and position of the hangar figure within the scene. Open Doors Hangar Doors – Opens the large doors on the third configuration shed, separately or together Personnel Doors – Individually open the small doors on the front wall (configuration 3) and the back wall of the shed Other Change the wind direction (affects the flag props) PROPS o Morphing roof flags (preloaded) Each of the flags has two wind and one gravity morph o Alternate foundation for land-based shed o Floating extension from the shed front o Further extension to increase the length of the floating extension. (Subsequent extensions must be positioned manually.) Guy Ropes o Individual guy line smart props corresponding to the four M4 guy line poses (see Poses) POSES Three hangar configurations 1 Simple open-ended shed (default) 2 Adds a marrow end wall with a large opening 3 Adds large doors that close off the end and small personnel doors to the front end wall Position Poses o Dry-land – Adjusts the vertical position so that the foundation tarmac matches environment ground level o Floating – Adjusts the vertical position so that the shed floats the proper distance above the environment water surface HIDE-SHOW - Hide the pontoons (for the land-based shed) - Hide a side wall to view the whole interior Handling Crew A large crew of handlers maneuvered zeppelins using rope line attached to the zeppelin frame and rails on the gondolas. (These poses are based on the default floating hangar position with the floating extension attached. Y adjustments are needed for the dry-land position.) o L-1 Zeppelin position adjustment to match crew o Four M-4 positions gripping a gondola rail o Four M-4 position gripping a guy line (see Props) The included poses can be multiplied by duplicating a posed M4 figure, moving it in the Z-axis, and making a minor change in the figure legs or arm. CAMERAS Full Set - All the standard cameras are positioned to show the complete shed figure in its default loaded position. Note that adjustments may be necessary depending on your document window setup. Dolly CAMs Interior and some close-up exterior view Dolly cameras. LIGHTS o Simple day and night sets (These are the same lights included with the L-1 Zeppelin) ------------------------------ -- DAZ Studio Compatibility -- Tested in DAZ Studio 4.21 to the extent that parameter controls and various figure poses work as intended. I've made no attempt to convert or optimize materials. The Zeppelin Hangar figure loads, operates and renders in DAZ Studio. DAZ Studio uses different camera designations from Poser so the included camera presets don't all work. Those that work may require adjustment. ------------------------------ List of files contained within this product's zip files. :Documentation:Michael_C Zeppelin_Hangar_ReadMe.txt Zeppelin_Hangar_Promo.pdf Marketplace_Standard_License.txt :Runtime:Geometries:MCC:Zeppelin ExtensionEndUV-P.obj ExtensionUV2-P.obj FlagBase2P.obj Foundation1UV-P.obj RopeUV.obj ZHangarUV1-P.obj :Runtime:libraries:Camera:Michael_C:Zeppelin:Hangar Hangar Set.cm2 Hangar Set.png :Runtime:libraries:Camera:Michael_C:Zeppelin:Hangar:Dolly CAMs Exterior 1.cm2 Exterior 1.png Exterior 2.cm2 Exterior 2.png Interior 1.cm2 Interior 1.png Interior 2.cm2 Interior 2.png Interior 3.cm2 Interior 3.png Interior 4.cm2 Interior 4.png Interior 5.cm2 Interior 5.png Platform 1.cm2 Platform 1.png Walkway 1.cm2 Walkway 1.png Walkway 2.cm2 Walkway 2.png :Runtime:libraries:Character:Michael_C:Zeppelin:Hangar Zeppelin Shed.cr2 Zeppelin Shed.png :Runtime:libraries:Light:Michael_C:Zeppelin Daylight.lt2 Daylight.png Moonlight.lt2 Moonlight.png :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:Zeppelin:Hangar Configuration 1.png Configuration 1.pz2 Configuration 2.png Configuration 2.pz2 Configuration 3.png Configuration 3.pz2 Default MAT.png Default MAT.pz2 Dry-land Position.png Dry-land Position.pz2 Floating Position.png Floating Position.pz2 :Runtime:libraries:Pose:Michael_C:Zeppelin:Hangar:Handling Crew !
