Dropship models for Poser

This product was originally acquired through VanishingPoint.

This zip file contains TWO (2) dropship models, each with its own set of textures.

Directions:
Extract the files into the specified folders:
Put the obj files into Runtime\Geometries\VP
Put the cr2/ rsr/ png (figure files) into Runtime\Libraries\Character\vp
Put the pz2/ rsr/ png (pose files) into Runtime\Libraries\Pose\VP-Dropship
Put the jpg files (textures) and gif files (templates) into Runtime\Textures\VP\Dropship
--The gif files are the texture templates and are not used on the models. They are included in case you want to build your own textures.

The mpi files are the "figure definition file" for use with my MAT Pose Creator (available at the Marketplace). Open the program, go to File > Import, select this file, and you can easily create your own MAT poses.

Notes:
1) Poser 4 users do not need to extract the png files and Poser Pro Pack and Poser 5 users do not need to extract the rsr files.
2) If there is no template for a material (such as "black"), then that material uses a solid color.

Using the figure:
1) Start Poser.
2) Go to the Figures > VP Library.
3) Add either of the Dropships to your scene.

To change the texture, simply select a MAT pose:
1) Go to the Poses > VP-Dropship folder
2) The "1" poses are for Dropship1 and the "2" poses are for Dropship2.

Notes:
1) The Dropship will seem "big" and may fill the scene. This is normal- it is scaled so Poser figures can sit in the cockpit.
2) To hide or show the landing gear, simply use the "Landing Gear Hide" or "Landing Gear Hide" poses. (You can also use the Hierarchy Editor to turn these parts off and on.)
3) Most of the moving parts have corresponding dials on the Body. Some parts (such as the flight stick) do not have corresponding dials on the body: select each part to move them.
4) Do not "drop to ground"- the figure's parts may do weird things.

This zip file contains TWO (2) models (in lwo format), TWO (2) sets of textures, and TWO (2) variations for each texture, for each model:
-Dropship1:
--Marine Green texture: clean and dirty
--Space Grey: clean and dirty
-Dropship2:
--Marine Green texture: clean and dirty
--Space Grey: clean and dirty

Directions:
Extract the files to any folder.

Using the models:
1) Start Lightwave
2) Add the Dropship1 or Dropship2 to your scene.

Notes:
The model will be added to the scene using the "Marine Green" texture set. To use another set:
1) Open the Surface Editor.
2) Select a surface: the surfaces are named by body part (hull, ramp, etc).
3) Select a new jpg file that has the same name as the body part.

The naming scheme for the textures is as follows:
(model name)-(color scheme)_(part).jpg

So, the name of the texture map for the hull for Dropship1 for the green/ dirty scheme would be:
dropship1-G_hull.jpg

Any texture that is named without a color scheme or body part will be used on all three texture sets.
