TruckR "Alternator" Figure for Poser c 2010 RPublishing All of this product's content was created by JHoagland. This zip file contains: -ONE (1) TruckR "cab" (figure) which can alternate between vehicle and robot modes. -ONE (1) Trailer (figure) which can alternate between vehicle and platform modes. -ONE (1) gun (prop). -THREE (3) sets of textures and MAT poses for the TruckR figure. -SEVEN (7) sets of textures and MAT poses for the TruckR's eyes. -FIVE (5) sets of textures and MAT poses for the Trailer figure. -TWO (2) poses to reconfigure the Truckr figure into vehicle and robot mode. -THREE (3) camera files to get a better view of the TruckR figure (in robot and vehicle modes) and the Trailer. Directions: Extract the files into the specified folders: Put the obj files into Runtime\Geometries\VP Put the cm2/ rsr/ png (camera files) into Runtime\Libraries\Camera\vp Put the cr2/ rsr/ png (figure files) into Runtime\Libraries\Character\vp Put the pz2/ rsr/ png (pose files) into Runtime\Libraries\Pose\VP-TruckR Put the jpg files (textures) and gif files (templates) into Runtime\Textures\VP\truckr -The "VPBlack.jpg" and "VPMetal.jpg" files are common to Vanishing Point models. Put these in the Runtime\Textures\VP folder. --The gif files are the texture templates and are not used on the models. They are included in case you want to build your own textures. The mpi file is the "figure definition file" for use with my MAT Pose Creator (available at the Marketplace). Open the program, go to File > Import, select this file, and you can easily create your own MAT poses. Extraction Notes: 1) Poser 4 users do not need to extract the png files and Poser Pro Pack and Poser 5 users do not need to extract the rsr files. 2) If there is no template for a material (such as "black"), then that material uses a solid color. Using the figure: 1) Start Poser. 2) Go to the Figures > VP Library. 3) Add the TruckR figure to your scene. Optional: 4) Add the Trailer figure to the scene. Optional: 5) Go to the Props > VP Library. 6) Add the TruckRGun to the scene. To change the color of the eyes: 7) Go to the Poses > VP-TruckR Library. 8) Select a "TruckR-Eyes" MAT pose to change the color General Notes: 1) The TruckR and Trailer figures will seem very big and will fill the scene. This is normal- it is scaled to the size of Poser people. To get a better view, go to the Camera > VP Library and use one of the included camera files. 2) Since this is a robotic model, the joints do not have the same flexibility as a human's. You should only move the dials that have non-standard names. For example, you *should* use the dial called "FrontBack" or "LeftRight", but you should *not* use the dial called "yRotate" or "zRotate". 3) To change the texture, simply select a MAT pose from the Poses > VP-TruckR folder. 4) Unlike my other models, using Poser's "Drop to Ground" command works fine and will not cause parts to fly off the model. In fact, you should use this command when alternating between modes or the figure may be above or below the ground. (The included poses correctly place the figure on the ground.) Specific Notes: 1) Some parts (for example, the "lFoot" and "rFoot") use the same mapping. For these parts, only one texture map will be used, with the plural name (for example, "Feet"). 2) You can figure out how to alternate between vehicle and robot modes by moving the parts around. Remember that NO parts are "invisible"- they are just hidden. If you get stuck, you can always use the included poses to switch modes. 3) There are TWO (2) communication panels on the forearms (left and right). The "CommPad" and "ArmScreen" materials have "maximized" texture mapping: they will accept any image. 4) The trailer's side panels use a "maximized" texture mapping. This means that it will accept any image. However, square images will look stretched top-to-bottom. Please use images that have a ratio of 1024x300 pixels (512x150, 1024x300, 2048x600, etc) to avoid any stretching. 5) Converting the trailer to platform mode is easy: simply adjust the "OpenDoor" dials (located on the body) to open the side doors and the rear ramp. 6) The gun is *parented* to the TruckR's right hand. If you add it to the scene while in vehicle mode, it will look strange. Usage License: You are completely free to use this figure in any commercial or non-commercial render, image, or animation. You may NOT sell or give away any files found in this zip package without express permission. You are free to use the enclosed template files to make your own textures. You are free to redistribute your own textures as you wish, provided they do not use any images found in this zip file. ------------------- File Listing for TruckR !readme.txt -readme file TruckR.mpi
