Project D-Day: Omaha Beach model for Poser 4, ProPack and Poser 5 Copyright Ownership belongs to RPublishing. This product was originally acquired through VanishingPoint. All of this product's content was created by Helgard de Barros. Directions: Extract the files into the specified folders: Put the obj file into Runtime\Geometries\VP Put the cr2/rsr/png (figure files) into Runtime\Libraries\Character\Project D-Day Put the pz2/rsr/png (pose files) into Runtime\Libraries\Pose\Project D-Day Put the jpg files (textures) into Runtime\Textures\VP\Project D-Day Notes: 1) Poser 4 users do not need to extract the png files and Poser Pro Pack and Poser 5 users do not need to extract the rsr files. 2) If there is no texture for a material (such as "White"), then that material uses a solid color. Using the figures: 1) Navigate to the Figures > Project D-Day library and load the Omaha Beach model. 2) If you are intending to animate the model in a scene, load the "Omaha Beach" pose file (found in the Pose > Project D-Day library). This will animate the waves in a 200 frame sequence (about 8 seconds, depending on your frames per second.). 3) The controls for movement are on each individual object, or body part, of the figure. The controls to lower the ramps of the landingcraft are on the "body" tab of the entire figure. 4) There is a folder of optional bump maps included. Use these for more realism and better detail. Poser 4 users will need to convert the .jpg's to .bum files. IMPORTANT NOTE The figure uses a new system I call the EAP Constrained Movement system. This means that most of the parts you can see on the figure are movable using the dials, but the limits have been set so that you can't move them off the base figure, or through the "floor", or into the sky. This makes setting up and adjusting the parts of the scene much easier, as you do not have to try and match up props to ground levels. Additional Notes: 1) This is a large figure, so zoom out after loading to see the whole figure. 2) Most details on the figure are body parts, so if you don't want something in the scene, just select it's properties and make it invisible. 3) Even though the figure is very large, it uses a unique mapping system, almost like tiling, to save on texture use. The entire model is about 5000 times bigger than Victoria 3, but uses roughly 25 000 by 25 000 pixels of texture, compared to a Hi-Res Victoria 3, that uses about 14 000 by 14 000. Additional Notes: The bump maps are in a seperate folder called Optional Textures. If you have a computer system powerful enough, add the bump maps to the props and figures. They are named so that it is easy to see which bump map fits with which texture. For instance: ground.jpg will have a bump map called groundbump.jpg. ---------- File Listing: Omaha Beach -Omaha Beach Readme.txt -Omaha Beach File Listing.txt -Omaha Beach Helpful Tips.txt Geometries\VP\Project D-Day -dday.obj libraries\character\Project D-Day -Omaha Beach.cr2 -Omaha Beach.png -Omaha Beach.rsr libraries\Pose\Project D-Day -Omaha Beach.pz2 -Omaha Beach.png -Omaha Beach.rsr libraries\camera\Project D-Day -BunkerInside.cm2 -BunkerTop.cm2 -Farmyard.cm2 -GunEmplacement.cm2 -House.cm2 -LCraft1.cm2 -LCraft2.cm2 -Leopold1.cm2 -Leopold2.cm2 -RailwaySiding.cm2 -Ruin.cm2 -SandbagPosition.cm2 -Trenches.cm2 -BunkerInside.png -BunkerTop.png -Farmyard.png -GunEmplacement.png -House.png -LCraft1.png -LCraft2.png -Leopold1.png -Leopold2.png -RailwaySiding.png -Ruin.png -SandbagPosition.png -Trenches.png -BunkerInside.rsr -BunkerTop.rsr -Farmyard.rsr -GunEmplacement.rsr -House.rsr -LCraft1.rsr -LCraft2.rsr -Leopold1.rsr -Leopold2.rsr -RailwaySiding.rsr -Ruin.rsr -SandbagPosition.rsr -Trenches.rsr Textures\VP\Project D-Day -concrete.jpg -courtyard.jpg -detailA.jpg -grass.jpg -ground.jpg -house.jpg -railbarn.jpg -railsideground.jpg -railway.jpg -ruin.jpg -ruinground.jpg -shellreflect.jpg -trans.jpg -vehicles.jpg -yardwalls.jpg Textures\VP\Project D-Day\Optional Textures -concretebump.jpg -courtyardbump.jpg -detailAbump.jpg -grassbump.jpg -groundbump.jpg -housebump.jpg -railbarnbump.jpg -railsidegroundbump.jpg -railwaybump.jpg -ruinbump.jpg -ruingroundbump.jpg -transbump.jpg -vehiclesbump.jpg -yardwallsbump.jpg Product Support is available by Renderosity SiteMail to RPublishing.
