POST-ATOMIC PERSONAL COMPUTER Created by Dominik Lenardo (a.k.a. 'coflek-gnorg' of Renderosity) 10.02.2005. coflek@astro-doo.hr --- DESCRIPTION --- This model is my vision how would PC looks like 100 years after nuclear war :) Model is very detailed, every single detail is 3d object. However, poly count is reasonable; 140 000, so you'll have no problem of placing this model in your scene and adding your models without slow-downs. --- FILE LIST --- Model is saved in two formats: 1. computer.max for 3Dmax (version 3.1 or newer) 2. computer.3ds for other 3D based programs. I imported this model into Poser 5 and all geometries an textures works fine, you only must adjust bump and opacity manually, because Poser can't read that from 3ds file. But, that's more fun than boring even if you have only basic knowledge of working in Poser. With models, you'll get 21 textures: - alu_burn.gif (texture for cooler below projector) - ball.jpg (roll-o-ball a.k.a. mouse texture) - battery.jpg (battery texture) - body.jpg (for most metal parts of model) - body_mat.jpg (for mat metal parts) - body_b.gif (bump map for body and body_mat) - cord_blc.jpg (black wire for peripherals) - cord_red.jpg (red wire below projector) - cord_yel.jpg (yellow wire below projector) - cord_b.jpg (bump map for all cord*.jpg files) - decal1.jpg (decal on monitor) - decal2.jpg (decal on 'tower') - decal3. jpg (decal on projector) - handle.jpg (texture for handle and battery holder) - keyb.jpg (keyboard keys) - metal_co.jpg (old metal texture for bolts) - metal_li.jpg (another metal texture for smaller parts) - plug_gls.jpg (shiny metal texture for connectors) - screen.gif (image on monitor, my another work) - tube_hat.jpg (brass texture for electronic tubes) - tube_opa.jpg (opacity texture for glass on el. tubes) --- INSTALATION --- Unpack .zip file and load/import object into your 3d application. When asked for textures location, point to 'textures' subfolder. --- CONCLUSION --- Feel free to experiment with textures and parameters for best results in your scenes. You can use this model in creating futuristic, retro or pulp scenes (design and look will fit in any period ;) ) Ownership Statement: All of this product's content was created by Dominik Lenardo (coflek-gnorg of renderosity).
