Cheap Hotel Room for Poser Copyright Ownership belongs to RPublishing. This product was originally created by ratracer and acquired through VanishingPoint. A very decrepid hotel room, composed of room and bathroom and adequate furniture... Very realistic textures and overall mood, with the addition of optional materials for the room walls and additional textures. There's even a big spider lurking somewhere... Modelled with very high detail, yet easy to apply and allowing fast renders. Doors, closet and bedtable doors, and toilet seat are openable/moveable. It also fits to my product "Decay Corridor and Rooms (for Poser)" as room 15. (Note: prior of getting the lights, better delete the existing lights) For ease of use the necessary props are gathered in 3 figures. Get the figures (and included props) from the "figures" folder, then "RPublishing", then "Cheap Hotel Room" (ie from Runtime\libraries\characters\RPublishing\Cheap Hotel Room). To add each figure to the scene, select the desired figure clicking it once, and then click on the symbol with the double tick (at the bottom of the menu). Get the light sets and camera sets: from their folders Light Sets and Camera Sets and clicking within those folders "RPublishing" folder and "Cheap Hotel Room" folder. To apply different materials to the props, you have first to select the figure where the props belong to. The figures needed to build the scene are only three: Bathroom.cr2 Room without walls.cr2 and one of the below: Room walls m1.cr2 Room walls M2.cr2 Room Walls M2and3.cr2 Room Walls M5.cr2 Room Walls P4.cr2 these 5 figures are only 4 room walls and a ceiling, but each one has different materials applied to the walls. There are also two pz3 files as example. These are located at Runtime\PZ3 Scenes and include only the room. The cameras and light sets used are those named accordingly: camera sets: PZ3 example above camera.cm2 PZ3 example camera.cm2 light sets: PZ3 example above lights.lt2 PZ3 example lights.lt2 In these pz3 files, the following was done: Cast shadows was set to OFF in the following props: wall frame room room lamp door bathroom window frame room wall room alcove wall room closet wall room radiator wall room entrance room ceiling Also, Visible was set to OFF in the following props: wall room alcove room ceiling ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT NOTES: a) To use certain cameras, you have to make invisible certain wall parts or ceiling. The name of the camera sets usually states which prop you should make invisible, as for example: Bathroom 04 wo bathroom wall B.cm2 - make "bathroom wall B" invisible Room 03 wo wall entrance.cm2 - make "wall entrance" invisible bathroom 03 wo bathroom wall B.cm2 - make "bathroom wall B" invisible b) The camera sets and light sets are named regarding the area of the product you want to view. For instance, if you want to view the room, you can use: the following camera sets: Room 01.cm2 Room 02.cm2 or Room 03 wo wall entrance.cm2 and the following light sets: Outside room.lt2 Room Lights 01.lt2 or Room Lights 02.lt2 c) There are - in the Materials Room - several materials that can be applied to the room walls "wall" or "wall room" material. Their names are: "wall 1...", "wall 2...", "wall 3...", etc.. d) The figures have one prop that is the parent: usually, it is the "floor" on that figure (moving the floor will move all the props within that figure) e) This product includes 4 maps that can be used as backgrounds. To use them, Import>Background> and then select one of the following: sky 5 square.jpg sky6 square.jpg night.jpg sunset.jpg f) The doors, closet doors and toilet are openable/moveable: To open the doors, closet or bed table doors, rotate it along the y axis; to open toilet cover and toilet seat, rotate it along the z axis. To use "Poser4 renderer" set AntiAlias and Shadows set to ON. To use Firefly, set Smooth to OFF, Cast Shadows set to ON. g) To use it as an add-on to my product "Decay Corridor and Rooms (Poser 5)" delete that product's rooms and the door of room 15. The room and bathroom of "CHeap Hotel Room (Poser 5)" will fit nicely in its place.
