However poses are provided for use with DAZ's M3 and V4. Installation Instructions: --------------------------------- All character files should be placed at: Runtime\libraries\character\AssaultWeapons_3 (or to a folder of your choice) All prop files should go to: Runtime\libraries\props\AssaultWeapons_3 (or to a folder of your choice) All pose files should go to: Runtime\libraries\Pose\AWeapons3_M3 (or to a folder of your choice) and: Runtime\libraries\Pose\AWeapons3_V4 (or to a folder of your choice) All hand files should go to: Runtime\libraries\hand\AWeapons3_M3 (or to a folder of your choice) and: Runtime\libraries\hand\AWeapons3_V4 (or to a folder of your choice) All obj files should be placed to: Runtime\Geometries\Panko\Guns (do not change this) All texture files should be placed to: Runtime\textures\Panko\Guns (do not change this) Usage Tips or Limitations: ------------------------------------- Due to the nature of this package and in order to avoid any pitfalls using the many options of this product I decided to examine the included items one by one. CHARACTER: **************** On the "Body" part of each weapon you'll find dials to control the various functions such as cocking the gun, fold butt, single fire and auto fire options, drop magazine etc. Most guns are using alternative Geometries to allow easy change of magazines, barrels and morphing of slings. To better move or turn a gun choose the first part on the "body parts" list, a condensation of the gun's name (ie "AKS74U"), not the "body". Note: Take care not to delete any part on these characters as the entire character will be deleted. If, for some reason, you want to get rid of a part -- the sling of the rifle for example-- go to properties and check “invisible”. Note on CCommando: When extending the butt please adjust the sling by setting the MorphingSling dial to "3". PROPS: ********* Magazines, bullets and spent bullet shells are not smart propped to anything. You can move them and position them freely as you wish. The Scopes are parented to their respective guns. Same applies to the silencers and to the Negev bipod. POSES: ********* Before applying any of these poses turn all IK (Inverse Kinematics) and Limits off on your character (M3,V4) Setup poses are provided for easier handling of weapons. Here is the drill: You load the figure (M3 or V4) and you turn the IK off while it will help to also zero the figure and “drop it” on the floor (Ctrl+D). Then you load the weapon, you apply the pose to the figure and then you apply the pose to the weapon. After this you parent manually the "body" of the weapon to the figure's right hand and you are in business. For example: You want to setup the M3 figure and weapon for the AKS-74U poses. You apply AKS74U-SetupM3 on M3 and then select the rifle and apply AKS74U-SetupGun. Make sure that the body of the gun is selected and parent it (manually) to the figure’s right hand. That’s it! Then you can apply any of the poses provided to the figure -- the gun will remain firmly embedded to his hand. Same process to be followed with V4. All poses are taking into consideration that the character will be posed with boots (or shoes) on. Note: In some system running Poser 7, when using the hand poses you may get a message saying: "information stored in this library entry does not pertain to figures of this type". This is probably due to one (of the many) Poser 7 glitches, which hasn't been explained yet, and should be ignored as all hand poses work perfectly well. No characters, uniforms or gear are provided with this pack –just the weapons and their listed accessories.
