What you purchased in our store represents a collection of assorted lights that we've used for our own promotional images and artistic renders so far and now decided to offer to the whole Poser community. -------------------------------------- System Requirements: Poser 6/7 -------------------------------------- Ownership Statement: All of the content in this package was created by Digital-Lion and SaintFox, and may include derivatives of the following merchant resources: Photgraphs by cgtextures Our own stock photos and handpainted textures rons watercolor by deviney -------------------------------------- Installation Instructions: Run Winzip or another zip-program and point it your Poser directory. All files will be placed as shown below from the filelist. Be sure to check the "Use folder names" option when unzipping and point Winzip to your Poser directory. After unzipping you will find the lights in the folder "SF PrivateCollection" in your light-library, the textures for the backdrop in the material-library in a folder called "SF PrivateCollection" and the backdrop-/environment-props in the Props-Library in the folder "SF PrivateCollection". The folders containing lights, props and materials may be moved to another folder in the corresponding library if desired. The textures and geometries should stay as is, otherwise you will get an error when loading lights and props. -------------------------------------- Usage Tips or Limitations: This package is made and tested to be used in Poser 6 and 7 with the Firefly Renderer. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: Be sure to delete all lights from your scene before you add one of the light sets. Repeat this each time you want to change the lighting! We have included a handy button in the light-folder ("!DeleteAllLights") that calls the standard Poser python script to delete all lights from your scene. To delete all lights from the scene by hand you can -IN P6: open your Python window and click -->Utility Funcs-->Delete all lights. -IN P7: go to your menue and click -->Scripts-->Utility-->DeleteLights Using the lights is pretty easy. Build up your scene and choose the desired light. You'll see that you have the choice between "IBL" and "NonIBL" lights - and that each Image based light comes in two versions, with and without Ambient Occlusion enabled at the IBL. If you explore the IBL lights you'll find that each set is made from one IBL-light and one or more "assisting lights" that use colors from the light probe to emphasize the effect. You can change the colors of the assisting lights to your need and taste but we recommend to stay in the same tone or use neutral grays, otherwise you may destroy the overall effect. If you create something beautiful when playing with the lights: Be sure to save the result to your runtime!! This package is a well balanced collection usable for indoor and outdoor scenes. We encourage you to play around with the camera and turn your figure(s) and prop(s) to catch different parts and sources of the set. Of course you can move and rotate the lights as well but as the assisting lights are placed to boost the effect of the IBL(s) you may achieve better effects when moving and rotating the camera and parts of your scene. ADDING TEXTURES TO THE BACKDROP: In your Props-Library you will find a backdrop-prop, exclusivly made for The Private Collection. As a prop can not be textured with the usual mat poses until a figure (cr2) is in your scene we decided to use the material room for the material settings. Here, in the folder "SF PrivateCollection" you'll find a collection of 16 backdrop textures. All thumbnails where rendered with the light "NonIBL Enhancer1". This set containes lights with slightly bluegray tones. Because of this the backdrops on the thumbnails all show some shades of blue. Depending on what lightset you choose for your scene the colors of the backdrop will vary, especially when using one of the IBL-sets! ******************************************************************************************* Some important hints about the interplay of textures and light: Please keep in mind that Image based lighting is a technique that came with Poser 6. The realistic effects that IBL can give you depends highly on the advanced material options that Poser 6 and 7 offer you for your scenes. If you find your character looking dull or lifeless or if the skin-texture appears very dark we recommend checking the material settings of your figure. Image based light looks best on characters with advanced shader settings. Your character's material settings should contain shaders that add a slight shine to the skin: A blinn-node or a specular node or -map, even better when used together with bump and/or displacement. If you want to use a character that comes with a plain texture you can add a blinn node manually to all material zones that contain a skin-texture or use one of the tools that face_off offers (Unimesh realism kit, real skin shader, V4 realism kit). If you want to set up some sheen manually you can do it in the material room (advanced mode) and finding the first material zone of your figure that contains skin. Now click on the little plug beside "Alternate Specular" and choose New node-->Lighting-->Specular-->Blinn. Repeate this for every material zone that contains skin. If you desire it you can use the blinn node on the nails, too. The blinn node does not cause a glossy effect, the sheen just gives the illusion of healthy skin. The same may go with clothes, every piece of clothing that uses advanced material settings for the surface will look realistic when used with IBL while plain textures may (!) look dull and lifeless. Some words about Ambient Occlusion: Ambient Occlusion, called AO, can be described as an alternate kind of shadow. AO causes the small shadows that appear where surfaces come close together: The edge of a piece of clothing, the interaction of furniture and body, the region where the upperlip touches the lower lip - these things cause small shadows where the surfaces "meet". AO can boost realism and the feeling of depth in your images. You find that each of the IBL lightsets comes in two versions: With AO added to the (main) IBL and without AO. So it's up to you if you want AO for your whole scene (choose the "AO" version of the desired light) or without (choose the "No AO" version). Often it is enough to set up AO for the character(s) in your scene and leave clothes, accessories and environment as is because Ambient Occlusion, added to the IBL, can increase the render time. But you should give it a try anyway, the effect may boost your render dramatically. If your character is already equipped with AO nodes you should make a test with both versions of the light and decide for the set that meets your taste. If the materials of your character do not contain AO you can use the "Occlusion Master" by face_off to set it up automatically or set it up manually. If you want to set up Ambient Occlusion manually you can do it in the material room (advanced mode) by finding the first material zone of your figure that contains skin. Now find the button on the right side (under the "Wacros" menu) that says "Set Up Ambient Occlusion". Click it once and you're done. Repeat this for all zones that contain skin but skip the nails, lashes and so on. Now you should render a small test with both versions of the desired lightset and choose the version you like best. If so called artifacts appear in your renders you can alter the value of the Ambient Occlusion in the propperties of the IBL. We set AO to an avaerage value of 0.7 for all IBL-sets that have AO enabled. To get rid of artifacts try lowering the value in small steps and do some test-renders. ******************************************************************************************** -------------------------------------- Files Included in the Product: \Runtime\Textures\!SaintFox\PrivateCollection\ Landscapes1.jpg Landscapes2.jpg Landscapes3.jpg Sky1.jpg Sky2.jpg Sky3.jpg Sky4.jpg Sky5.jpg backdrop_aquarell1.jpg backdrop_aquarell10.jpg backdrop_aquarell11.jpg backdrop_aquarell12.jpg backdrop_aquarell13.jpg backdrop_aquarell14.jpg backdrop_aquarell15.jpg backdrop_aquarell16.jpg backdrop_aquarell2.jpg backdrop_aquarell3.jpg backdrop_aquarell4.jpg backdrop_aquarell5.jpg backdrop_aquarell6.jpg backdrop_aquarell7.jpg backdrop_aquarell8.jpg backdrop_aquarell9.jpg bridge1.jpg building1.jpg building3.jpg husum3.jpg industrial1.jpg industrial2.jpg outdoor1.jpg rocks1.jpg shore1.jpg shore2.jpg snowfield1.jpg snowmountains1.jpg windows1.jpg windows2.jpg windows3.jpg \Runtime\SF_PrivateCollection\ Readme.txt license.txt \Runtime\Libraries\Props\SF PrivateCollection\ PrivateWall.png PrivateWall.pp2 \Runtime\Libraries\Materials\SF PrivateCollection\ Aquarell01.mt5 Aquarell01.png Aquarell02.mt5 Aquarell02.png Aquarell03.mt5 Aquarell03.png Aquarell04.mt5 Aquarell04.png Aquarell05.mt5 Aquarell05.png Aquarell06.mt5 Aquarell06.png Aquarell07.mt5 Aquarell07.png Aquarell08.mt5 Aquarell08.png Aquarell09.mt5 Aquarell09.png Aquarell10.mt5 Aquarell10.png Aquarell11.mt5 Aquarell11.png Aquarell12.mt5 Aquarell12.png Aquarell13.mt5 Aquarell13.png Aquarell14.mt5 Aquarell14.png Aquarell15.mt5 Aquarell15.png Aquarell16.mt5 Aquarell16.png \Runtime\Libraries\Light\SF PrivateCollection\ !DeleteAllLights.lt2 !DeleteAllLights.png IBL Aqua AO.lt2 IBL Aqua AO.png IBL Aqua NoAO.lt2 IBL Aqua NoAO.png IBL Arctic AO.lt2 IBL Arctic AO.png IBL Arctic NoAO.lt2 IBL Arctic NoAO.png IBL Blush AO.lt2 IBL Blush AO.png IBL Blush NoAO.lt2 IBL Blush NoAO.png IBL Bright AO.lt2 IBL Bright AO.png IBL Bright NoAO.lt2 IBL Bright NoAO.png IBL Crisp1 AO.lt2 IBL Crisp1 AO.png IBL Crisp1 NoAO.lt2 IBL Crisp1 NoAO.png IBL Crisp2 AO.lt2 IBL Crisp2 AO.png IBL Crisp2 NoAO.lt2 IBL Crisp2 NoAO.png IBL Daylight1 AO.lt2 IBL Daylight1 AO.png IBL Daylight1 NoAO.lt2 IBL Daylight1 NoAO.png IBL Daylight2 AO.lt2 IBL Daylight2 AO.png IBL Daylight2 NoAO.lt2 IBL Daylight2 NoAO.png IBL Harvest AO.lt2 IBL Harvest AO.png IBL Harvest NoAO.lt2 IBL Harvest NoAO.png IBL Milky AO.lt2 IBL Milky AO.png IBL Milky NoAO.lt2 IBL Milky NoAO.png IBL Moonglow AO.lt2 IBL Moonglow AO.png IBL Moonglow NoAO.lt2 IBL Moonglow NoAO.png IBL Natural AO.lt2 IBL Natural AO.png IBL Natural NoAO.lt2 IBL Natural NoAO.png IBL Neutral AO.lt2 IBL Neutral AO.png IBL Neutral NoAO.lt2 IBL Neutral NoAO.png IBL Psycho AO.lt2 IBL Psycho AO.png IBL Psycho NoAO.lt2 IBL Psycho NoAO.png IBL RedHeat AO.lt2 IBL RedHeat AO.png IBL RedHeat NoAO.lt2 IBL RedHeat NoAO.png IBL Shady AO.lt2 IBL Shady AO.png IBL Shady NoAO.lt2 IBL Shady NoAO.png IBL Subtle1 AO.lt2 IBL Subtle1 AO.png IBL Subtle1 NoAO.lt2 IBL Subtle1 NoAO.png IBL Subtle2 AO.lt2 IBL Subtle2 AO.png IBL Subtle2 NoAO.lt2 IBL Subtle2 NoAO.png IBL Sunny AO.lt2 IBL Sunny AO.png IBL Sunny NoAO.lt2 IBL Sunny NoAO.png IBL Sunset AO.lt2 IBL Sunset AO.png IBL Sunset NoAO.lt2 IBL Sunset NoAO.png IBL Velvet AO.lt2 IBL Velvet AO.png IBL Velvet NoAO.lt2 IBL Velvet NoAO.png IBL Warm AO.lt2 IBL Warm AO.png IBL Warm NoAO.lt2 IBL Warm NoAO.png IBL Wine AO.lt2 IBL Wine AO.png IBL Wine NoAO.lt2 IBL Wine NoAO.png NonIBL Airbrush1.lt2 NonIBL Airbrush1.png NonIBL Airbrush2.lt2 NonIBL Airbrush2.png NonIBL Enhancer1.lt2 NonIBL Enhancer1.png NonIBL Enhancer2.lt2 NonIBL Enhancer2.png NonIBL Morning.lt2 NonIBL Morning.png NonIBL Noon.lt2 NonIBL Noon.png NonIBL Portrait.lt2 NonIBL Portrait.png NonIBL SoftTouch.lt2 NonIBL SoftTouch.png NonIBL Sunset.lt2 NonIBL Sunset.png NonIBL UpperBody.lt2 NonIBL UpperBody.png \Runtime\Geometries\Digital-Lion\ PrivateWall.obj -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- USEAGE RESTRICTIONS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As per enclosed Renderosity MarketPlace Licence
