######################################################## # # # SPACESHIP COCKPIT # # # ######################################################## Set of props for Poser5-7 & DazStudio By Dominik Lenardo (coflek-gnorg) 1. INTRODUCTION 3. INSTALLATION 4. LIMITATIONS 5. FILE LIST 6. OWNERSHIP STATEMENT -------------------- INTRODUCTION -------------------------- Finally, my most desired model is finished. I wanted to create spaceship cockpit for a long, long time. Something like 'Raptor' cockpit from 'Galactica' or dropship from 'Spaceship Troopers'. I had some troubles to solve problems with camera obstructions in such confined, narrow space. At last, I deci- ded to split cockpit in several props. That turned out to be good solution; You can pose characters and place cameras without obstructions and You can save CPU resources because You don't need to place props outside camera's FOV . Furthermore, You can place props in different combinations and make Your unique cockpit. Model is intended to be rendered from inside, but I created outer hull (around cockpit only, not the whole ship) so You can make some renders from outside, or trough cockpit's glass. Although I stuffed interior with many buttons, switches and monitors, whole geometry is optimized along with hi-res textu- res, providing fast but detailed renders in Poser 5-7 and DAZ Studio. I included 8 light sets for different situations and atmosphe- res (for whole cockpit). ------------------- INSTALATION --------------------------- POSER 5-7 users: Unpack SSCockpit.zip into Your Poser folder. If You're using Daz Studio, unpack zipped file into custom directory and IMPORT props into DAZ Studio. target folder for textures is: Runtime\textures\Spaceship Cockpit -------------------------- LIMITATIONS -------------------- Props aren't tested in Poser 4 and I can't guarantee proper functionality in that program. If You import .pp2 props into DAZ Studio You'll get all textures in place with proper mapping. However, You'll have to manually adjust specular maps and bump maps. It's easy to recognize and place those textures because they have same name as main textures and mark _s means specular map, _b bump map, _o opacity (transparency), _i ilumination map.
