Merlin's Medieval Swords II By Merlin_Studios 6th November 2008 Medieval swords: The first is a Viking sword and scabbard, dating from around 1000 A.D. It has a larger, more highly decorated crossguard than it's earlier counterparts. Next is the Norman Sword and scabbard, used by Duke William of Normandy's army in the Norman Conquest of England in 1066 A.D. Lastly is the mighty, 6 foot, Zweihaender (2 hander) with an elabourate hand guard and a twisted crosspiece. These swords were used by German Landsknechts (Mercenaries) in the 16th century for hewing through enemy pikes and spears. It was also quite handy at beheading multiple opponents in one single blow. Product Description: 3 authentically modeled medieval swords and 11 texture maps in 3DS format. All detail is modeled into the mesh and the texture maps are easily editable. Total of 3 highly detailed sword models and 2 scabbards available in 3DS file format. System Requirements: The models have been tested successfully in Poser 7, Vue 5 and 6 and 3D Studio Max 8 for PC.
