Ornate spirals and knotwork decorated everything from jewelry to holy books in the Celtic world. Knotwork animals and geometric figures show the influence of the varied influences throughout the years including the Norse and Romans. While the meaning of many of these symbols has been lost, their complexity and aesthetic appeal transcend their original intent. Traditional materials and contemporary media mix in these 8 designs with several variations. At 300 dpi on a transparent background with no drop shadows, these large high resolution images are perfect for both print and web applications. Please see readme file for exact sizes. The background in the promotional images is not included.
