US Truck - The Ultimate American Big Rig - for Poser 4 and Higher (c) Sparkyworld -------------------- DESCRIPTION OF MODEL -------------------- The US Truck is a model of an American 'Big Rig' is a composite design based upon classic and modern lorries. The design inspiration comes from Peterbilt and Mack trucks seen in movies such as Duel and Smokie & the Bandit, and TV shows such as Knight Rider. This model also comes complete with various forms of cargo. Including a trailer, 2 types of large shipping container for the trailer, 2 types of panel body container for the truck, 1 Dust Cart (Garbage body) and Cement Mixer. Working features - all can be used invidually or by using an ERC dial on the Body of each most models - including: On the truck model: theres turnable wheels, opening left and right doors, plus a hinged bonnet (hood) that opens and closes showing the engine. On the cargo models: you can open the doors on the containers. On the trailer: theres rotating wheels and a "stand" which can rotate up and down. The stand is used to support the trailer and cargo when no lorry is connected, and is swung up when the trailer is on the road. Also in this pack is a great selection of textures: For the truck: 5 textures for use in all versions of Poser (should also work in Studio, Carrara and Vue) plus 4 .MC6 material/shader sets for use in P6 and higher. Plus a link to TemplarGFX's freebie set of 158 Procedural Car Materials for P5/P6/P7. For the cargo: Theres 2 texture sets for each of the two types of container, 2 sets for both types of the panel body container, 1 texture set for the dustcart and 1 texture set for the Cement Mixer. Plus there's also a MY MAPS MAT pose - an easy to use system which allows you to easily make your own textures. No other files are required. Tested OK in Vue 5, 5, 5 Infinite and using Carrara 5 Pro. Not tested in daz studio but as this model uses Poser 4 MAT files it should work fine. -------------------- INSTALLING THE FILES -------------------- Unzip this zip file into your Poser directory using paths. It will create various directories and files. If you are really bored a list of these can be found at the end of this readme. --------------------- HOW TO USE THIS MODEL --------------------- Poser - all versions: 1. Load Poser. 2. Open the Figures library. 3. Locate the Sparkyworld folder. 4. To load a model double click on: USTruck - Loads the lorry. Trailer - Loads the trailer. ! NOTE - this is a large detailed model and may take a little while to load - be patient!! Container1 - Loads the long container type 1 into the correct position on the trailer. Container2 - Loads container type 2 into the correct position on the trailer. CementMixer - Loads the Cement Mixer into the correct position on the truck. DustCart - Loads the Dust Cart (Refuse/Garbage Body) into the correct position on the truck. PanelBody1 - Loads the short container with opening doors into the correct position on the truck. PanelBody2 - Loads the short container with a 1/2 open fixed roller door into the correct position on the truck. Load the truck first - then if the cargo is on the back of the trick load that figure next and parent it to the BODY of the truck. If you are using the trailer with cargo. Load the trailer after loading the truck, parent the trailer to the truck, now add the cargo to the trailer. Next parent the cargo to the trailer. ----- To use the features on some models: Truck - Click on the truck and either select the relevant body part on the truck, or press 2 on the keyboard to select the body of the truck. Using each body part or the relevant parameter dial on the body you can... 1. Open and close left and right doors. 2. Open and close both sides of the bonnet (hood) either seperately or together 3. Spin the wheels. -- Container 1,2 and PanelBody1. Either select the relevant body part on the model you loaded, or press 2 on the keyboard to select the body of the model. Using each body part or the relevant parameter dial on the body you can... Open and close left and right doors. -- Trailer: Either select the relevant body part on the model you loaded, or press 2 on the keyboard to select the body of the model. Spin the wheels. -- CementMixer, DustCart and PanelBody2 have no working features. ----- To change the textures for a part or model.... Important bit! - Don't do a save as - just keep on hitting save. Now how to use your textures within Poser 1. Select the desired figure in the scene window.. 2. Open the Poses library. 3. Locate the Sparkyworld folder. 4. Click on the relevant icon labelled "MY MAPS" for that figure. Note: if you wish to make another set of your own maps - don't forget to back the ones you just created first :) --------------------------- HOW TO USE THIS MODEL - Vue --------------------------- Depending on your version of Vue and Poser. Theres two ways to do this ...either save your scene in Poser and then just import the Poser scene into Vue. Or extract the .OBJ and .MTL files plus ALL the textures to any folder of your choice and import the desired .OBJ into Vue. Rescale the imported model to suit your scene.
