BLING! "Precious Facets" Layer Styles for Photoshop CS & Up Copyright İMay 2009 Roberta Dugan Created by: Fractalartist01/Roberta B. Dugan --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --A Set of 24 Faceted Precious Gemstone Patterned Layer Styles for Photoshop CS & Above Just think of it! Now you can actually have a whole collection of sapphires, rubies, emeralds and more in a variety of shapes and sizes-clarity and cut. More precious gems than you ever dreamed of...in your digital painting arsenal! ----Fellow Designers & Artists: Create beautiful faceted precious gemstone elements, alphas, frames, nail-art, charms, text, clothing-trims and jewelry with just "one click" of these new precious gem faceted layer styles! This set created for Photoshop CS & Up includes a variety of faceted precious gemstone layer styles in the colors of sapphires, emeralds, topaz, ruby and more. You get a set of 24 different realistic-looking layer styles. --Those of you who know me personally, realize how obsessed I can be with digital gemstones and bling! I worked on these realistic faceted gem styles a very long time to try and achieve as close to a "one-click" easy and fast way for you to create digital gems and jewelry that look as real as I could possibly make them. (and still have them be adjustable) I am very pleased with the result-and I hope you will be too. --Please feel free (and encouraged) to open them up and re-scale the gemstone patterns both up & down...depending of course on the shape and size of the gem or jewel you will be creating. I found that I needed to re-scale almost every time, since the gemstone sizes and shapes that I might be working on were so often varied. As with the "Diamond Facets" Layer Styles, I tried to stay 'middle of the road' with the pattern and faceted bevel sizes-leaving the rest up to you-so that you can get the maximum use out of these beauties. You will find quick instructions for how to rescale these layer styles inside the enclosed "ReadMe" text file. Once you understand how to open up and make slight adjustments to your layer styles, you are going to find that you just can't live without them! What you get: --24 Faceted Precious Gem Layer styles created with patterns at 200-300 dpi for Photoshop CS & Above --Some of the styles have shadows and some don't, so please remove or add drop shadows according to your own taste and what you happen to be working with or designing at the time Important Notes: The Product Preview pages contain examples of different types of layers with the styles applied to them so you can see the end result...these example images are not included in the styles package --The gold, silver and gemstone settings used were made with one of the following additional layer style sets and are not included in this package: "BLING! Silver & Gold #2", "BLING! Gems & Jewels", "BLING! Textured Gold Laces", "BLING! Textured Silver Laces" or "BLING! Or you can access this command from the Layers palette by right-clicking on the small layer effects symbol (looks like an f) on your layer, then choosing the Scale Effects command. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) When you choose Scale Effects, the dialog box "Scale Layer Effects" will appear. You can reduce the scale down as low as 1% to make the effects smaller, or increase the scale up to 1000% to make the effects larger. This re-scales every effect used in the Layer Style at once...OR you can just remove/add a shadow, add a stroke or inner bevel, change the pattern scale size, etc. *Checking the "Preview" box will allow you to see what is happening as you're adjusting.* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) So the next time you download some layer styles and find they don't look quite the same on your own images as they did in the product examples, try scaling the effects and see if it makes a difference. The images on my product pages are almost always scaled down in size so that they can look right for the web! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- File List: License.txt PreciousFacetsbyRoberta.asl Readme.txt Total number of files = 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Copyright notice: You CAN use these styles to create/style any NEW personal or commercial works.
