The Meeting Place was designed to offer a compact, but complete, ocean escape environment, made to be a compromise between realism and aesthetic value. This was a difficult project, taking over a month to create. It was my first attempt at making a complex scene for Poser, and I learned a lot through trial and error and lots and lots of frustration. But I am pleased with the end result, and I hope you enjoy The Meeting Place! The Skye character is based on the first real character I created, she is included just for good measure :) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Installation Instructions: Extract the zip file to your root Poser directory Daz Studio files need to be extracted to wherever your DS content is, these files are only material settings... annoying that they couldn't be placed in the same location as the other files but that's a limitation of Daz Studio. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Using this product: POSER **Be sure to turn off the default poser ground plane & ground shadows** To make things as easy as possible, the entire scene can be loaded from a single preset in the props library\The Meeting Place\ TMP- Full Scene. You can also load individual pieces from the components folder. Then load one of the supplied camera presets to easily view the scene. Apply the daytime lights and you are ready to render. To use the alternate evening environment, apply the evening lights, and the alternate materials to the skydome and ocean props. These props default to the daytime setting when loaded. TO CHANGE SKY/OCEAN: Simply enter the material room, browse to The Meeting Place folder, and use the Day/Evening materials. Be sure to select the appropriate prop for each- Skydome for skies, and the Ocean prop for ocean material settings. !!!!DAZ STUDIO PROCEDURE Things work a bit different in DS. Basic procedure for getting up and running: -Load the full scene (or components) from the props folder -Load a camera from the cameras folder: Ds does not automatically select the camera, once loaded it appears nothing happens... but you simply select the camera from the view menu. Not sure why the camera doesn't auto-select in DS -Materials are not correct at start because Poser and DS are different... you have to navigate to the DS CONTENT folder where you put the Meeting Place DS files.
