Directions: Extract the files into the specified folders: Put the obj file into Runtime\Geometries\VP\MilEnv3 Put the cr2/rsr/png (figure files) into Runtime\Libraries\Character\MilitaryEnvironment3 Put the pp2/rsr/png (prop files) into Runtime\Libraries\Props\VP_Military Environment 3 Put the jpg files (textures) into Runtime\Textures\VP\MilitaryEnv3 Put the PZ3 files into Runtime\PZ3 Notes: 1) Poser 4 users do not need to extract the png files and Poser Pro Pack and Poser 5 users do not need to extract the rsr files. 2) If there is no template for a material (such as "White"), then that material uses a solid or procedural colour. 3) This has been created in Poser 6, and Poser 4 users will need to re-assign bump maps. Using the figures: 1) The file includes figures with moveable parts and static props. 2) The figure can be used as a base, and detail can be added by adding more props onto the base. 3) The controls for movement are on each individual object, or body part, of the figure. 4) Poser 4 users will need to convert the .jpg's to .bum files. Notes: A: The Military Environment figure. 1) Load this figure as a base. Add the Backdrop prop for more area and as a finite end to the scene. B: The Props 1) All the props link to external geometry, so that they can be used in other 3D programs, and loading multiple props into a scene does not use up excessive resources, as they reference object files, instead of having the geometry embedded in the prop file. 2) Some props will not load in the centre of the scene, but at the correct position for where they will be placed, like the jetty, tower, gunpit, etc. These can be moved normally for creating different scenes. 3) The tree props load into the centre of the scene. Move these to the desired location, and angle them to face the camera when rendering. Notes on setting up the scene and rendering: 1) Start your scene by loading the PZ3 with the light and sky setting you want. There are choices of daytime, nighttime, bad weather, sunrise and sunset. Then add your scene figures and props, and then add any additional lights. 2) Turn off ground shadows and the Poser ground plane. 3) Do not use ambient occlusion in scenes where the skydome is visible. Poser will create shadows on the skydome, even though shadows are turned off for this object. 4) It is not recommended that polygon smoothing is turned on in your render settings. 5) If your scene renders black, it means your camera is outside the skydome and you need to zoom in.
