Scarier Basement Dungeon (Poser, VUE & OBJ) Copyright Ownership belongs to RPublishing. This product was originally created by ratracer and acquired through VanishingPoint. This set consists of several props, that can be useful to add a more dramatic feel to "Scary Basement (Poser & OBJ)" set and also introduces a dungeon-link interior chamber to that basement. However, note that though it was created fundamentally as an add-on to "Scary Basement (Poser & OBJ)" - as all the props fit correctly with that set - it can also be used as a stand-alone set, in the sense that there is no requirement to have the "Scary Basement" set AND the props included are enough to stand on their own and by themselves allow the creation of full scenes - as the promo pictures demonstrate. All the promo pictures were done using exclusively the objects included in the set. Extract the zip file to your Poser folder (eg c:\program files\smith micro\poser) with option "Use Folder Names" checked ON. (Note: prior of getting the lights, better delete the existing lights) Also for ease of use all the necessary props are gathered in 4 figures. Get the figures (and included props) from the "figures" folder, then "RPublishing", then "PropsScarierBasement" (ie from Runtime\libraries\characters\RPublishing\PropsScarierBasement). Get the light sets and camera sets: from their folders Light Sets and Camera Sets and clicking within those folders "RPublishing" folder and "PropsScarierBasement" folder. To apply different materials to the props, you have first to select the figure where the props belong to. All the props are also available at the props folder. II. This set can be used as stand-alone but it was designed fundamentally as an extension or add-on to "Scary Basement (Poser & OBJ)". In the case you are using this present set as an add-on to "Scary Basement", do as following: 1. Load all the props from the set "Scary Basement" (or, which is the same thing, load all props from that set and delete those mentioned below), except Wall_B Door_B (since those props will be replaced by the props from the present set prefixed with "Substitute_") 2. Afterwards, load all the props (or the figures) from "Props for a Scarier Basement", but you can (or should) leave out those prefixed with "Redundant_" (since you are already have their equivalents from "Scary Basement"). III. The light sets prefixed with P have Poser6 Point lights with raytraced shadows. To get the shadows, turn Firefly renderer raytrace ON. Note that render times will be longer with raytrace ON. IV. Both Firefly and Poser renderer can be used. Firefly may deliver better results. If you use Firefly: Set Shadows to ON. Set Raytrace to ON, in the situations listed in point II. No other cases require Raytrace=ON. Set Smooth Polygons to OFF. The less value of Min Shading Rate (closer or equal to 0.0) the better quality the textures and the overall render will be. If you use Poser 4 renderer: Set Shadows and AntiAlias to ON.
