All source files have been kept in case proof of copyright is needed. -------------- Needed Files List and System Required: Minimum of 768Mb of RAM with Poser 5 or later (Mac and PC). 1Gb RAM or more is recommended to use this product in Poser with any meaningfully detailed scene; 2Gb or more would be better. Note that all the images on the product page were rendered on a system with just 1GB of RAM, so although large and detailed this model is not excessively memory hungry. -------------- Usage Tips/Limitations Rendering: If rendering with ray-tracing enabled and using ray-traced lights to cast your shadows, users may experience rendering anomalies with some versions of Poser. This will be obvious, as the model will render with nasty dark patches on it in the middle of some polygons. To rectify this, select your shadow-casting lights and adjust the "Min Shadow Bias" to 1 or more; the model will then render correctly. This is not unique to this model, it occurs with many large Poser models in Poser 5 and later if you don't adjust the Minimum Shadow Bias. Camera positions: The DropShip loads into the scene in Poser in the middle of the scene; it is very large and the camera at the default position will be inside the ship. For this reason you may see nothing but a blank screen, or some interior part of the ship may be visible. A number of camera settings have been provided to help you position your camera in a more sensible relationship to the ship; these are mostly intended as starting positions and you are encouraged to alter them to prevent your images looking like everybody else's who bought the product. Once you have the camera positioned it is often a good idea to make the DropShip the parent of the camera so that it maintains its relative position to the ship if you move the ship itself. Some versions of Poser may have problems with parenting cameras; there is no known fix for this except to save the scene, quit Poser, reload Poser, reload the scene and try again. Using the ship with figures: For use with the crew poses provided the DropShip should not be moved from the default position in which it appears until several things have been done; this will greatly simplify workflow. First add the ship to the scene and then add any crew figures you are going to use with it; they can then be posed using the poses provided or any you have created yourself. Once posed, make the DropShip the parent of the figure(s) BEFORE you move the DropShip anywhere. In some cases you may wish to use the stock poses but alter them as a quick way of positioning a figure, and it is suggested that you also SAVE POSES BEFORE REPOSITIONING THE DROPSHIP as well. Once figures are posed and the DropShip has been made the parent of each crew figure, then you can pose and position the ship itself; the figures will then move with it. Tail Turret: The tail turret is a conforming figure for the Thunderlifter Heavy DropShip. It can also be positioned and then parented to any other figure or building you wish to attach it to. Simply position it, then select the option from the figure menu "Select figure parent" and choose the object you want it attached to.
