It will create a series of directories and files. --------------------- HOW TO USE THIS MODEL --------------------- There are four buildings in total. Each one comes in two 'types'. 1. Plain 2. BOD - Ones with a base and debris. To load either type, just open the Props library within Poser, locate the VP_Ruins folder and select a model. ------------------------------------ Usage Instructions - Plain versions: ------------------------------------ To move a plain version after loading, simply select the prop and move it with either the trans-dials or the Editing Tools. --------------------------- Usage Instructions - BOD's: --------------------------- To move any of the BOD versions after loading, you MUST select the Building within the group. and then move it with either the trans-dials or the Editing Tools. This is because the other props within the group are parented to the main building. You can also remove individual piles of debris by selecting it and using the delete key. To move individual piles, select it and move it using the trans-dials or the Editing Tools. If you wish to change the ground texture of a BOD, any square map will suffice. Simplyu select the Floor prop and apply a new map. You may wish to consider texture scaling here and use a map of 1024x1024 or higher to avoid a low res jagged look. You'll notice the texture of any debris on the gorund no longer matches the ground. This is a deliberate design, debris could be plaster and brick, or dirt from the ground mixed with plaster and brick. So if you wish to change the texture of ground based debris to match the new ground maps. Select each pile of debris on the ground. Open Posers material lab or tab, and select the Earth material. Now change the existing texture to that you loaded for the ground. ----------------------------- Usage Instructions - General: ----------------------------- To make a larger ruined area, Try rotating the buildings around at 45, 90,180 degree. The buildings are very low ploygon and use meduim to high resolution maps so you won't suffer system slow-down. However sometimes Poser doesn't like a large number of models, particulary if you have a large nunber of clothed human figures (for example V3 and M3) in your scene. The trick here is to use a number of the plain versions of the building rendered against a sky background image. Place these well into the back of your scene. Render this. create a new scene and import the last render as a background image, add a few buildings in the middle ground and your figures in the foreground. Now using the same light set as the background, render away! 2 of the the buildings contain ground and 1st floors so you may place your figures on the them. These buildings contain a foundation layer to raise the the ground floor off street level. If you do not want to see the foundation level, select the building and use the Y-Trans dial to lower this into the ground of your scene. -------------- NEED SUPPORT ? -------------- For product support, please contact mrsparky through Renderosity SiteMail
