For Poser use: To use the ImageNation SteamBetty Figures, simply cut and paste the folder titled "Runtime" into your ./Program Files/Curious Labs/Poser/ directory. Open Poser, go to the "Figures" category and locate the "IN SteamBetty" folder. Inside, you will find a button to import the Steam Armature figures ("SteamBetty" or "SteamBot". To use the Steam Armatures with your DAZ Vicky 4 figure, simply load the figure, then select the Steam Armature and click Edit --> Conform To and choose the Vicky 4 figure from the options list. Fix any foot conforming errors by navigating to your Poses--> IN SteamBetty Directory and applying the appropriate "Foot Fix" Pose to your Armature. To apply the appropriate MAT pose to your V4, simply click the appropriate MAT pose icon. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOTE: On some systems, the textures will not immediately appear in Poser 3D preview window, although they will render properly. If this happens, follow these simple steps to make the textures visible: 1) Open the Material Room by clicking the appropriate tab on the top middle of your Poser environment. 2) Inside the Material Room, click on a body part for your V4 figure (not the head). 3) Inside the Materials pane, choose the "Simple" tab in the top right. 4) Make a tiny adjustment to any of the dials in the resulting Materials pallettes (such as transparency, Map strength, etc). This tiny adjustement will cause all the unseen materials to become visible. 5) If necessary, hit "ctrl" + "z" to undo any undesirable change you may have made to the material node. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To use the SteamBot Klaw figure, do the following: 1) Load the Klaw figure (found in your Figures-> IN SteamBetty directory). 2) Since the Klaw is a rigged figure, it cannot be parented to your figure's arm in the normal way. To parent the figure manually, open the Hierarchy Editor via the "Windows" drop-down menu). 3) In the Hierarchy Editor, turn off visibility on all right hand and finger elements for the Steam Armature (this can easily be done by clicking the eye shape next to each asset name). 4) In the Hierarchy Editor, locate the figure asset called "Klaw Figure". Click and drag it onto the "right forearm" element of either the V4 or Steam Armature figures (since they are conformed together, it does not matter which you parent the Klaw to). Use the SteamBetty anywhere you like in either your personal or professional projects, and enjoy!
