Zodiac01
========

Last year we have seen a zodiac on the beach which looks nicely.

We tried our best and moved our digitized copy to Poser. This model is separated
into three parts

- zodiac itself
- outboard motor (which can be used as smartprops in combination with other boats)
- rear wave for a little bit more realistic water world in Poser

This product is related to our pier01 and perfects the scenery.

We asked two of our testers to import our items into Vue 8 and DAZ-Studio
with excellent (Vue) and fair (DAZ-Studio) results.

Introductions(Figures):
=======================

This pack contains items and poses:

1. Conforming Items
   - 00_OutboardMotor01
   - 00_RearWave01
   - 01_Zodiac01

2. Poses
   - MAT-Poses
   - 'Skipper'-pose

The items:
==========

1. 01_Zodiac01
--------------
The main item.
Choose zodiac out of 'Figures' and apply to display.
This item is completed with an installed outboard motor. The item comes along with
default texture. This means - there is no image attached to the material.
If you like to add high quality textures goto
	Pose -> DMK-Boats
click on the zodiac and choose
	01_Zodiac01_TEX1

Functionalities of the outboard motor - see chapter 2

2. 00_Outboardmotor01
---------------------
This standalone item can be used for other boats too.
Place and parent the motor to your existing boat.
You get several little 'helpers' to adjust your motor

join engine_p1:
- Morph	'engine_lift'
- Morph	'screw_adjust' (if you like to add the motor to a different boat)

join engine_p2:
- lfit the motor while moving the boat onto the beach with dial
		lift_engine

join engine_p3
- Morph start_egine	(pull out the cable and start the engine)
- turn the motor from left to right with the help of dial
		Right - Turn - Left

Like the Zodiac the item comes along with default texture.
If you like to add high quality textures goto
	Pose -> DMK-Boats
click on the zodiac and choose
   00_OutBoardMotor_TEX1

3. Pose for the 'skipper'.
--------------------------
This helpful pose let the skipper sail this boat. Click on your skipper and goto
	Pose -> DMK-Boats
	choose
     - 01_Zodiac01_Skipper.pz2
Now your skipper is sitting and holding the throttle in his left hand.

Please note: This pose is primary designed for
     DAZ- Victoria 4
You can use this pose for all poser-people as well but have to do some
correction actions afterwards.

4. Rear wave
-----------
Well - creating a nice waterworld in Poser isn't very easy (for us).
Nevertheless we created a rear wave, which can be added behind the back of
the boat.

This rear wave is related to our Pier01 package which contains a water surface.
If you have this water surface applied to display move it directly above
the surface of

- Ocean (join water) (out of Pier01).

Make sure the outer egdes of the rear wave is under the surface of 'Ocean' while
the main part of the rearwave is above item 'Ocean'

Move the rearwave in the right position behind the boat.

Perhaps try some different settings of the rearwave and modify dials like
- scale x (wider)
- scale y (higher waves)
- scale z (longer wave)

Some additional information
===========================

The YAMOHA typo.....
Yes - this isn't a typo but we feared to use the name of the well known company
in far East. Although our outboardmotor looks similar to this motor - we
didn't dare to use the right name. Nevertheless feel free and use the
image templates to correct this typo in a graphic editor

We asked our tester to use the interface of other 3D modellers

Vue:
The import of our zodiac as *.pz3 is running fine and our tester forwarded
a lot of nice renders. Needless to say the water world in vue is outstanding

DAZ-Studio:
Another tester and a good friend of us let us know the import is working fine
and the renders are really nice. But ... you have to do some corrections
in the DAZ MAT-Lab, because textures are differently interpreted as in Poser 7/8

Please note:
The best render results are given, if the render settings are turned to high quality.
Especially the water texture is showing great results, if you have chosen the highest
setting (-> Final and Firefly). Depended on your PC (CPU, memory....) the render time
could increase dramatically.
