Pajama for Miki 3 (Poser 8 or higher) *************************************************** © Copyright 2011 Kerstin Weihe (karanta) All Rights Reserved ****************************************************************************** The clothes in this set can only be used in the Poser Cloth Room. They can not be used with Daz Studio. For using this product you need to have Miki 3: http://www.contentparadise.com/productDetails.aspx?id=13111 The set was only tested with Poser 8 / Poser Pro 2010 - but should work with other Poser versions too The clothes included with 3 different polygon amount. Low polygon amount means quick calculation time, more polygons need a longer calculation time, but give smoother folds. ****************************************************************************** Unzip all files to your Poser Runtime Directory. ::::::::::: Usage notes ::::::::::: Please follow these steps for your first clothing simulation, or have a look at your Poser manual if you are not familiar with the Cloth Room: Load Miki 3 and the pajama pants into your scene: - Click on Miki 3, then in the Menue on "Figure --> Use Inverse Kinematics" and make sure all is unchecked. - Click on "Window - Joint Editor" , select Miki 3 and click on "Zero Figure" - Open your props library and load the pants into your scene. - Open the Cloth Room and click on "New simulation" - You can leave the setting as they are or if you just want to make a quicker try - lower the end frame for example to 15 or 20. - Click on "ok" - Click Clothify and choose the pants - it will be listed under props - then hit Clothify to exit the dialog box. Select Collide Against, then Add/Remove, and choose Miki 3. (The simulation will be quicker if you uncheck all bodyparts which will not affect the cloth) Hit "ok". Back in the Collide Against dialog, make sure that the 'Current Collision Object' has Miki 3 displayed. You may want to enable the 'Start draping from zero pose' option. Quick hint on Collide settings: Collision Offset is the distance of the cloth from the collision object and Collision Depth is the thickness of the cloth. Play with these numbers as needed to get the results you want. Hit "ok" If you work with the default settings (30 frames), go to about frame 20 or so and add a pose to Miki 3. I never apply the pose in the last (30th) frame. You will get nicer and smoother folds if you have some frames after the frame you added the pose. When the simulation is finished and the result is to smooth for your taste, you can always go a few frames back. - Click on "start simulation". It will take a bit time until the simulation will be done. How much time depends on you computer and the version (polygon amount) of the clothes you use. --------- Make a second simulation for the pajama top ::: I would suggest that you check the "hand" parts as collision objects but uncheck the finger parts ::: The hand part is neccessary for the cuffs, but if you uncheck the fingers the simulation will be quicker. --------- If you are not satisfied with the result you have, you can play around with the fabric settings. Changes in the settings can give a large difference for the end result of the simulation. I often use different fabric settings for different poses. There is nothing like "best settings" for a pose. Please have a look at your manual for further, detailed informations to get the best settings for the look you want. ****************************************************************************** license0409.txt ..\Runtime\Geometries\karanta\ Miki3_PajamaPants.obj Miki3_PajamaPantsHR.obj Miki3_PajamaPantsTR.obj Miki3_PajamaTop.obj Miki3_PajamaTopHR.obj Miki3_PajamaTopTR.obj ..\Runtime\Libraries\Materials\Miki 3 Pajama\ 01 Pants.mc6 01 Pants.png 01 Top.mc6 01 Top.png 02 Pants.mc6 02 Pants.png 02 Top.mc6 02 Top.png 03 Pants.mc6 03 Pants.png 03 Top.mc6 03 Top.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Props\Miki 3 Pajama\ !
