Starship Conference Room for Poser 5 and above c 2011 VanishingPoint All of this product's content was created by VanishingPoint. Author: VanishingPoint Directions: Extract the files into the specified folders: Put the obj files into Runtime\Geometries\VP Put the cm2/ png (camera files) into Runtime\Libraries\camera\VP\Bridge4\ConfRoom Put the cr2/ png (figure files) into Runtime\Libraries\Character\VP Put the pz2/ png (pose files) into Runtime\Libraries\Pose\VP\Bridge4\ConfRoom Put the jpg files (textures) into Runtime\Textures\VP\bridge4\confroom Notes: 1) The gif files are not used on the model: they are included in case you want to make your own textures. 2) The chair files (obj, cr2, png, and textures) are included with both the Starship Conference Room and Starship Ready Room products. If you already own one of these products, you do not need to extract the chair files. Using the figure: 1) Start Poser. 2) Go to the Figures > VP Library. 3) Add the ConfRoom to your scene. 4) Add people to your scene to suit your taste. 5) Pose the people to suit your taste: either sitting in the chairs or standing or walking. Notes: 1) The Conference Room will be added to the center of your scene, already positioned in the proper place. 2) Camera movement through the room is very easy and camera files are included. -You can use these camera files to render the scene or use them as starting points. -Every camera file automatically hides the wall that may be blocking the shot. For example, a from-the-rear camera view will automatically hide the Rear wall. 3) Hide and show poses are included to hide and show the walls and roof. 4) The chairs are separate body parts which can be rotated, moved, or shown/ hidden to suit the needs of your scene. 5) ERC dials to open and close doors are located on the BODY part. -Although all of the doors can open, there are no corridors behind the doors. We recommend using one of the many corridor sets, for sale here, for background hallways. 6) If you want to make your own monitor-displays or control-surfaces, be sure to follow the the templates: although your texture may look angled, it will render as a straight line. 7) Depending on your light set, you may want to hide the Ceiling so you don't block the lights or create dark shadows. 8) The position pose aligns this room with the Starship Bridge 4 set (sold separately). Note: since this room and the bridge set were made independant of each other, some of the walls may overlap. This can fixed by adjusting the camera angle or removing it with post-work. Not to worry- all of the chairs are parented to the room's BODY part, so they'll move with the room. If there are any chairs in the camera's viewing angle, hide it (the chair, not the camera): 1) Click on the chair. 2) Go to the Parameter Dials palette or the Object menu > Properties or press Ctrl+I. 3) Click the "Visible" checkbox to uncheck it to hide the chair. Click it again (checkbox is checked) to show the chair. For best results, be sure to use the FireFly Renderer with at least 4 ray-traced bounces. Hint: Depending on your light set, you may get better results by rotating or moving the room (by using the BODY part) rather than moving the camera. If there are any people in your scene, be sure to rotate the people as well. Usage License: You are completely free to use this figure in any commercial or non-commercial render, image, or animation.
