System requirements PC or Mac, any program that can use .jpg files and seamless texture tiles. If using as Poser materials Poser 5 or higher. Installation instructions: These files can be placed anywhere you like. If you do not choose a different directory they will default unzip to your C drive folder name ClothTexturesVolume6. Usage tips/limitations: This product is intended as a "merchant resource", it may be used to create uv map textures for sale, please don't redistribute these in their original tiling form. Intended to represent real fabrics in works of art only. All files are in .jpg format. Each file name plus a number is a unique pattern (that is to say Wool1 is different than Wool2), where that is followed by an a,b,c etc. those are colorations or trans maps. Where the name is "stitch" or folllowed by "hem" or "border" that indicates a one-way tiling pattern. To use the stiches try adding a line of them as a lighten or screen layer to your hem (on the texture and or bump map) until you get the desired lightness or raised effect. I use them as texture fill brushes in PSP because you can scale, rotate etc. There is a tutorial on my site about how to do that here: http://www.handspanstudios.com/clothtexturestut.html To use them inside Poser 5 and up as tiling materials load the object you are texturing and select the material zone you want to work with. Then go to "Diffuse_Color" and select "New Node". Then select "2d textures" and "Image_Map". The first thing to do is assign the map by clicking "Image Source" and browsing 'till you find the fabric tile you want. The way you tell Poser how many times to repeat the tile and in what proportions are the controls U_Scale and V_Scale. If your result looks like digital noise it is too small, if it looks very blurry it is too big. To make bumps just grey scale the image and save it as thenamebump.jpg and apply it the same way to the node "bump". Some pattern dyed cloth will not make good bumps with this method as the dark and light patterns will look raised or depressed. You can fix this by adding a darken and/or lighten layer and bringing the colored bits to 50% grey by painting them. You can also make a sheer cloth by creating a tranparency map or just making the material min/max transparency about 20%. The lace and crochet can be used as it's own transparency map, though you might need to bring the contrast up and desaturate until it's straight black and white (white is opaque and black is transparent greys are inbetween).
