Product Name: Beach Backgrounds Contributing Artist: Rowan54 ************************************************************ Required Software: Any program that will read a .jpg file. -------------------------------------- Installation Instructions: Install where ever you install 2D backgrounds. -------------------------------------- Important Notes: When using 2D backgrounds in Poser, Daz Studio or Photoshop, remember that the light in the photo is the way the light in the photo is going to be. You'll want to match the direction, intensity, and color of the light on your characters and props. In Poser 10 (other Poser versions should be similar): File/Import/Background picture/brouse to where you keep the photos. Poser hints: Turn ground plane off. Also, Poser seems to render just the characters so that you can make layers with shadows and background in an image editor program such as Photoshop. Move lights so the characters are lit the same as the background. Daz Studio 4.9 (64 bit) (other Daz Studio versions shouuld be similar): Windows/Panes/Environment/Brouse to where you keep the photos. Daz Studio hints: Shift the ground plane grid so that it matches the groundplane of the photo so that characters don't look like they're floating. Move lights so the characters are lit the same as the background. Digital photos are almost never completely sharp at the 100% size, which is why I provided such large pictures. This way you can reduce them to 50% or 75% where the sharpness is much higher and still have a large picture. Photos taken March 2011 on various public Washington State beaches Camera: Canon PowerShot SX130IS All photos are in jpg format. Size of photos: 3000x4000 or 4000x3000 (12 megapixels). Dots per Inch: All pictures are 180 dpi. Whole packet is a little over 43 MB. 22 photos total These big beautiful photos show a variety of moods, weather, conditions, and camera angles. They are of late-winter/early-spring Washington State beaches, which have frequent storms walking towards them over the mighty Pacific Ocean. The beaches are bordered by eroded cliffs where trees are permanently bent from the constant winds. These beaches saw Native Americans from the distant past to the present, explorers from Europe and Russia in the 1700s, European settlers in the 1800s, and those traveling to the Alaskan gold rush in the early 1900s. Currently, the locals drive on the beach in old pickup trucks and dig clams. These photos would be the perfect backdrops for your pictures of pirates, mermaids, shipwrecks, beach combers, dragons, or whatever you can think of. You could even use these photos as pictures on the walls of your 3D peeps' dwellings. I left space in each photograph for characters, vehicles or buildings when I took the pictures; however, each picture will stand alone. The only editing I did was to remove people, signs and garbage. -------------------------------------- Files Included in the Product: ReadMes\Rowan54\ Beach Backgrounds ReadMe.txt Beach Backgrounds\ Beach_01_Rowan54.jpg Beach_02_Rowan54.jpg Beach_03_Rowan54.jpg Beach_04_Rowan54.jpg Beach_05_Rowan54.jpg Beach_06_Rowan54.jpg Beach_07_Rowan54.jpg Beach_08_Rowan54.jpg Beach_09_Rowan54.jpg Beach_10_Rowan54.jpg Beach_11_Rowan54.jpg Beach_12_Rowan54.jpg Beach_13_Rowan54.jpg Beach_14_Rowan54.jpg Beach_15_Rowan54.jpg Beach_16_Rowan54.jpg Beach_17_Rowan54.jpg Beach_18_Rowan54.jpg Beach_19_Rowan54.jpg Beach_20_Rowan54.jpg Beach_21_Rowan54.jpg Beach_22_Rowan54.jpg
