*****THE NEXT GENERATION*********************************** RIGHT HERE, MY DEAR for Poser & Daz Studio ************************************MODELED WITH PRIDE***** 1. DESCRIPTION 2. INSTALLATION 3. DAZ STUDIO COMPATIBILITY (DS users, please read) 4. FILE LIST 5. COPYRIGHT 6. OWNERSHIP STATEMENT ********************** DESCRIPTION ************************* Every now and then I put myself to the test to see what I learned in modeling so far. This time, 'Right here, my dear' is the result. It's part of attic room in old neglected Victorian-style house. The main structure consists of: Door wall - left wall with door and small corridor behind. Window wall - back wall with window Ceiling Slanted ceiling Small wall - wall on the right Floor - parent for all other parts There are also decorative parts included: Carpet Table Trunk - with open/close lid Cabinet - with 5 drawers, each one with open/close possibility Rocking chair Wheelchair - as separated character with many movable parts Cobwebs - I experimented with this feature and it turns out to be nice detail Ceiling lamp - independent part with ambient light adjustment Wall lamp - same as ceiling lamp, so You can set one light on and other off I paid attention to uneven surfaces, ripped wallpapers and other details, supporting them with high resolution textures for all styles; diffuse, specular, bump... etc This scene is great for dark and grunge, horror themes, but it can also be used in many different ways. DAZ Studio users; please refer to chapter 3 for compatibility issues. Texture templates not included. ********************** INSTALATION ************************* Unpack zip files to Your Poser Runtime folder. Models are placed in runtime/library/character/Coflek Gnorg/Right Here Model is assembled in Poser 8, so maybe You'll need to tweak some parameters (bump and specular) in other versions, my default is Poser's native units, but even without that You'll get impressive results. ********** DAZ STUDIO COMPATIBILITY - MINI TUTORIAL ************** My models are in Poser format (pz2, pz3, cr2, pp2...). They can be imported in DS with all movable and morphable parts working like in Poser. As You already know, importing Poser's characters and props into DAZ Studio won't import some additional textures and their parameters. To get best render results, You'll have to place some textures manually. This is not big job because I don't use many textures for my models. Since I unified my texture's names You'll have no problem to figure out where what goes: _diff.jpg is diffuse texture, DS will load this one. _spec.jpg is specular texture, used to make some parts of model shinier than others. Just load texture with that extension in 'Glossiness', 'Color' and 'Strenght' slot and set all parameters to 100% (texture will do the rest) _ambi.jpg is for ambient strenght. Although DS import ambient color, You'll have to place texture into 'Strenght' slot and set parameter to 100%. This will reduce ambient light/color on certain part of model (otherwise, it will be spreaded across whole model. _opac.jpg is for opacity, sometime I use semi-transparent surfaces (like dirty window glass or hologram projections), so load this texture into opacity 'Strenght' slot to avoid whole model transparency. Set parameter to 100%. _bump.jpg is for bump/relief effect, surprisingly, this texture will be imported. You just need to set bump 'Strenght' to 100% and Positive to 1-2 (depending on result). _disp.jpg for displacement, simulated 3D effect on flat surfaces. Load texture into displacement 'Strenght' slot and experiment with parameters in 'Maximum' slider (usually 0.10 to 1). _refl.jpg for reflection. This texture, placed in 'Strenght' slot with value 100% determines which part is reflective and how much. To change texture styles (like in Poser's MAT poses) just replace cg_texturename1_diff with cg_texturename2_diff, or 3 or 4. You don't have to change other sub-textures. ************************** FILE LIST *************************** ..\Runtime\Geometries\Coflek Gnorg\Right Here\ Structure.obj Wheelchair.obj ..\Runtime\Libraries\Character\Coflek Gnorg\Right Here\ Structure.cr2 Structure.png Wheelchair.cr2 Wheelchair.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Light\Coflek Gnorg\Right Here\ Light Set 1.lt2 Light Set 1.png Light Set 2.lt2 Light Set 2.png Light Set 3.lt2 Light Set 3.png Light Set 4.lt2 Light Set 4.png Light Set 5.lt2 Light Set 5.png ..\Runtime\Textures\Coflek Gnorg\Right Here\ cg_HDRimage1.hdr cg_HDRimage2.hdr cg_atceiling_bump.jpg cg_atceiling_diff.jpg cg_atceiling_spec.jpg cg_atchairs_diff.jpg cg_atchairs_spec.jpg cg_atfloor_bump.jpg cg_atfloor_diff.jpg cg_atfloor_spec.jpg cg_atfurniture_bump.jpg cg_atfurniture_diff.jpg cg_atfurniture_spec.jpg cg_atlights_ambi.jpg cg_atlights_bump.jpg cg_atlights_diff.jpg cg_atlights_spec.jpg cg_atseat_bump.jpg cg_atseat_diff.jpg cg_atseat_opac.jpg cg_atwallpap_bump.jpg cg_atwallpap_diff.jpg cg_atwhchair_bump.jpg cg_atwhchair_diff.jpg cg_atwhchair_spec.jpg cg_atwindow_opac.jpg cg_atwindow_spec.jpg cg_atwood_bump.jpg cg_atwood_diff.jpg cg_atwood_spec.jpg cg_stcobweb_diff.jpg cg_stcobweb_opac.jpg ..\Documentation\ Right Here_readme.txt license.txt ************************* COPYRIGHTS ************************** All output forms of models (still pictures, animations, etc) are free to use in commercial or non-commercial purposes without any limitations.
