Later in the War they were trained for fighting in enemy trenches, ship decks and other similar places. This specialization spread to other armies as well and formed various assault troops, shock troops or fire teams for specialist soldiers who perform the infiltration tasks of stormtroopers. Our model is inspired by these armored specialist forces of World War I but brings to it a little bit of steampunk and sci-fi flavor. Basically it is a construction kit for building various types of soldier uniforms not only stormtrooper ones. Basically there are several uniform pieces, equipment items and weapons with large array of various material options and variants. Included are 11 clothing figures (jacket, pants, belt, 2 types of boots, 2 types of gaiters, body armor), two types of hats and helmets, bread bag with bottle, trench shovel (on the belt) and several weapons mostly for close quarters combat like trench shovel or trench mace, cutlass or stick grenades. There is also promo light preset included and six M4 poses. You can make almost unlimited possible of soldier uniform variants similar to those of the beginning of XX th century and WWI. You will find the items in Character, Light, Pose and Props folders named SP Stormtrooper. Geometries, Textures and Reflection Maps are stored in respective folders. -------------------------------------- Usage Tips or Limitations: Outfit is made as collection of conforming and parented figures and smart parented props. For optimal use of the outfit and all equipment props, please use following workflow. Load M4 into scene and from SP Stormtrooper character folder conform to him jacket, pants, belt and one of two types of boots - either high boots left and right or field boots with one of two types of gaiters (Gaiter L + R or Foot rag L + R). There are several full body morphs or other morphs available for these items like heavy, bodybuilder, superhero, beer belly and others). Note that you may combine these morphs for creating unique body type. Outfit items are made as superconformer using crosstalk technology, so it will basically follow morphs from Michael 4 figure (if present in outfit), but occasionally you may need to adjust morphs in dressing items manually. Body Armor figures is not made as conformer since it will otherwise warp like soft clothing, but it is made as figure, which need be parented to M4īs Chest. It is made large enough to fit some conservative body morphs, for larger values you need to scale the armor up and reposition it. There are three mat poses for hiding lower plates of the armor. Strengthening plate is smart prop parented to breastplate body part of body armor. Hats and helmets are made as smart props parented to M4īs head. Belt equipment items are loaded also as smart props (parented to beltīs abdomen body part). All of them (bread bag, trench shovel and cutlass sheath) will position to correct places, but when body morphs are used, you will need them to adjust their position. Bottle and sheathed cutlass will loaded parented to either bread bag or the sheath. Grenades in grenade rack are parented to lower plate of body armor. Weapons are made as smart props parented to both right and left hands. For stick grenade there is also optional multi head prop, which parents to either right hand or left hand grenade prop. There is available large quantity or material options for almost all outfit pieces or equipment, so you can combine them as you wish to make countless possible variants. Some of examples you may see on the promo pictures. Basically there are six materials for pants and jacket, three materials for belt, two materials for gaiters, two materials (clean and bloody) for melee weapons, 30 materials for body armor or strengthening plate, 13 materials for hats and 10 materials for each helmets. For some poses you may want to hide Michael 4īs lower or upper body parts to better fit under the dress. There are fix poses available for that, you need to select particular figure (Michael) and apply the fix pose. This is also useful for legs and suit pants where may in some particular poses occur pokethroughs. Other pokethrough can be fixed by dialing up some of included morphs. For posing it is generally better to be somewhat conservative - body armor should be rigid and is clear it will limit some of movements. There are six example poses included, which illustrate how is possible to pose figure in rigid armor for some of poses. Generally you need tu put arms in higher position of farer from the body so it will not be obstruct by armlet holes in the armor. If the armor collides with thighs you may adjust bending of the chest so the lower part of the armor moves away. Alternatively you can rotate lower plates of armor away as these are independent body parts. For equipment props you may need to reposition or rescale obstructing prop, or even hide some of figureīs body part. Other tips and guides for using the product you will find included in promo pictures. Model is completely UV mapped. For certain parts of models are provided texture templates, other material zones are textured by procedural materials or by tiled textures and templates are not applicable for them. Tiled textures and procedural materials may need adjustments in DAZ studio, Carrara or other 3d applications. All poser props have extracted geometry to obj. mesh files which you can use for importing to other modeling or rendering application.
