************************************************************ *Product Name: The Eve Collection for V4 *Copyright July 2012 *By: pixeluna, shadownet ************************************************************ Product Description: A character creation set for beginners to advanced users. This set includes Pose content that may be used as a Merchant Resource in the creation of your own custom V4 based characters. Twenty complete character (head and body) INJ-REM sets for Victoria 4 are provided, and require the Victoria 4 morphs ++ and Elite morphs to use. These sets are ready to use and can be distributed in your own commercial work, when included in a character set having textures and mats. You may mix and match the head and body shapes, and rename the characters for your own work. When using the provided character INJ-REM sets in a character set of your own, we ask (1) you only distribute one character head INJ-REM and one character Body INJ-REM per character set (this can be any head and body INJ-REM option used to create your character), also (2) that you include textures as part of your character set, and (3) you not redistribute the original INJ-REM characters sets as part of a character morph/pose only set. If you modify the INJ-REM characters in this set so that there is a significant change to the look of the character, so as to be viewed as a new character, the INJ-REM pose file you create for the distribution of that character is deemed your own work and may be distribute it as you like. It is only the original content in this set we wish to protect as our work. The set also includes MOR pose files for these same twenty characters. These files do not inject any morphs but may be used as a starter to mix and match and create your own custom head and body looks. You will need to inject the ++ and Elite morphs into your V4 figure before using the MOR sets. It is best to use a new V4 figure (and not the same figure used when working with the INJ-REM) when working with the MOR sets. The Eve Collection also comes with a 60 page PDF tutorial that will instruct, even the beginner, in how to make their own INJ-REM character pose files. These characters will be your own work, and you may distribute them any way you like. We ask only that the actual INJ-REM files we have provided not be redistributed, except as already stated, above, in the creation of your own character set for distribution. Please see the additional information in this Read Me (below) for a complete breakdown of what content is provided in this set, and any special requirements or known issues. This set includes: ~ 20 INJ-REM Character Head pose files for Victoria 4, using the ++ and Elite morphs (total of 40 pose presets) ~ 20 INJ-REM Character Body pose files for Victoria 4, using the ++ and Elite morphs (total of 40 pose presets) These character sets are ready to use and distribute as provided as part of your own V4 character package. Please limit each character package you create using these INJ-REM presets to one head and one body per set. ~ 20 Character MOR head pose files for Victoria 4, using the ++ and Elite morphs (that may be mixed and matched to create new character looks) ~ 20 Character MOR Body pose files for Victoria 4, using the ++ and Elite morphs (that may be mixed and matched to create new character looks) These pose files only set the morphs necessary to create the character head or body shape shown in the png thumbnail. This makes it possible to apply the MOR poses one after the other in different combination to create new and different head and body shapes, since only the dials for morphs contained in the character MOR pose will be changed, leaving previous dial morph setting unchanged. You will find this a fast and fun way to come up with interesting and original characters of our own. You may use as many of these MOR files as you like in the creation of your custom characters, but you may not redistribute the MOR pose for the characters as is as part of any similar pose set. ~ 15 Utility INJ/REM sets for the most popular V4 morphs are provided. These pz2 files are set up by Head or Body content, making it easy to use them as a resource to list the readscripts needed for your own custom INJ/REM files to add and remove the morphs used in your character. You may also use these pz2 files as standard INJ and REM files to add and remove just those morphs to your Victoria 4 figure while working on your character creation. Open these pz2 files on your Text Editor and copy and paste the readscripts that apply to your new character INJ/REM poses. ~ 6 Utility poses for common tasks. These pose files are useful to turn IK Off for the figure; zero the figure pose; zero the figure morphs (only); zero all (both pose and morphs); zero the Head morphs only; zero only the Body morphs. ~ The set also includes: "THE POOR MAN'S GUIDE TO POSE INJECTION" This is a 60 page PDF showing how to create INJ/REM poses for DAZ Figure & Morph based characters, using Poser 7 or higher, and a plain Text Editor. Additional tutorials are included in the Bonus Material section on creating MAT poses and showing some other more advanced editing techniques of Poser file contents. The Main tutorial content is suitable for basic to advanced users. The Bonus material is moderate to advanced, but even a beginner (willing to reference the Poser User Manual to understand certain basic steps not covered in the tutorial) can make use of this material. Below is a listing of the table of contents for the tutorial: THE POOR MAN'S GUIDE TO POSE INJECTION Table of Contents FOREWORD MAIN TUTORIAL 00 INTRODUCTION 01 GETTING OFF TO A GOOD START 02 A QUICK GUIDE TO INJ/REM 03 PART ONE- CREATING THE MORPH PZ2 04 PART TWO- ADDING THE READSCRIPTS 05 PART ONE & TWO REVISITED- CREATING THE REM POSE FILES BONUS MATERIAL 06 CREATING A MAT POSE (TWO METHODS) 07 INJ-REM CUSTOM MORPHS 08 ADDING A COMMENT LINE TO YOUR FILE 09 EDITING A STANDARD POSE TO A MORPH PZ2 10 ZEROING YOUR FIGURE & TURNING IK OFF PLEASE NOTE: The tutorial is Poser based and the methods given may not be compatible for Daz Studio users only. For this reason, DS is not fully supported. The Character INj/REM files and Library Pose folder content for character creation is both DS and Poser compatible. -------------------------------------- System Requirements: PC and Mac compatible Poser 7 or higher Daz Studio is not fully supported due to Tutorial content being for Poser 7 & up only. -------------------------------------- Our thanks to RodS and Bazza for testing for us. -------------------------------------- Needed Files: Victoria 4 Morphs ++ Elite Morphs Additional V4 morphs are optional and are only needed if you intended to make use of the readscript (INJ/REM) pz2 files provided for the different DAZ Victoria 4 morphs included in this set. Please note, no morph files are provided. You will need to own and have the DAZ Victoria 4 morphs installed in order to use these pz2 files in your work. -------------------------------------- Good to Know: For best results turn IK off for figure & zero figure pose. To create the Eve Collection character use the pose INJ files located in the PS_Eve Collection INJ-REM Library Pose folder. You must own and have the ++ & Elite morphs for V4 installed for the pose injection to work correctly. The Mix-n-Make pose files are MOR poses that only set the morph dials needed by the pose to create the character look. Making it possible to blend the characters shapes since only dials using the same morphs as the previously applied pose will be changed, the other dial settings will be left as is by the pose file. To use these files, you will need to first inject the Victoria 4 Morphs ++ and Elite head and/or body morphs into your V4 character. An INJ pose has been included in the folder for the Mix-n-Make Head & Body folders you can use to inject the necessary morphs for the poses. It is recommended when trying the different INJ-REM characters in the Eve Collection you not use the REM pose after the INJ. Instead, test the character looks by using only the INJ poses provided for the characters. There is no need to use the REM pose to remove morphs or reset dial settings. Applying the new INJ will load any new morphs needed, leaving any others not needed in your figure, but will zero or set the dial values as needed for the morphs used to create the character look. The back and forth use of INJ-REM poses, alternately injecting and removing morphs, can result in corruption to your figure. The REM morph is mainly only needed as part of a character set you distribute. If you wish to zero your figure dials so that you can continue to work, it is suggested you use the zero_Morphs or zero_All found in the Eve Collection "Utilities_V4" Library Pose folder. It is also recommended that you use a clean (new) V4 figure in your scene when working with the INJ-REM character sets, or the MOR pose character sets. Again, repetitive use of INJ-REM poses on the same figure can result in a corruption of the figure. You should not use the same V4 figure you have been using for INJ-REM tests when working with the MOR poses. If the figure you are working with becomes corrupted from repeated injection and removal of the morphs, you often will see a problem with the eyes, where they display unusual characteristics. Sometimes applying the Zero_ALL pose will reset the figure so that you can continue to work with the same figure, but often the best solution is to delete the V4 figure and load a new one to work with. It is not uncommon to see repetitive use of INJ-REM files on the same figure result in weird and unexpected results, but for most Poser users, applying INJ-REM poses to the same figure is kept to a minimal, as needed to create a character. With the Eve Collection, however, you have the potential of trying (injecting and removing, one after the other) 20 head INJ-REM poses and 20 body INJ-REM poses on the same V4 figure, this increases the chances of unwanted changes occurring internally to your figure. Again, it is best to use only the INJ poses if you simply wish to try the different character options to see how they look, rather than INJ, REM, INJ, REM, INJ, REM, etc., etc., etc. The Tutorial is for Poser 7 & higher users, since the content is written specific for features found in those versions. However, anyone using older Poser version or DAZ Studio can follow along and perhaps find ways to make substitution for the steps outlined as applicable to DS or an earlier version of Poser. This will be for the user to decide, so we recommend that if you do not own Poser 7 or higher you not purchase this set with strictly the tutorial content in mind. The Library Eve Collection Pose folder content provided may be used in Daz Studio or any previous version of Poser supporting the DAZ injection based characters, such as Victoria 4 and her morphs. For those of you planning to follow the tutorial to make INJ/REM poses for your character, you will find a folder called "Readscripts" in the Eve Collection Library Pose Folder, Utilities_V4 section. Inside this folder you will find pz2 files that you can open in your text editor to obtain the readscripts for the morphs needed for your character, as described in Part Two of the tutorial. These files have been set up by head and body type, and are for the most popular V4 morphs. You must own these morphs as since no DAZ morphs are included in this set. The readscript lines in the pz2 are simply those needed to tell Poser where to go look to find the DAZ V4 folder where the morph(s) to be injected can be found. Using your text editor, you can open the pz2 file(s) for the type of morphs, ie ++ Head, used in your character, find the readscripts for the specific morphs you used to make your character, and then copy and paste these into the readscript section of the head or Body INJ or REM pose you are making, just as described in Part Two of the tutorial. The pz2 files make it easier to find the morphs you need because they contain fewer lines of readscripts than those you could find in the !DAZ folder. These have also been set up by head and Body morph types, and the readscripts in those pz2 files grouped by morph type, such as Full Body, or Breasts, etc., to make it much easier to find the readscripts for the morphs you need for your INJ/REM pose files. Or, just the INJ, if you follow the tutorial example, and use a copy of the INJ readscripts to create the REM readscripts. Be sure to see, 05 PART ONE & TWO REVISITED- CREATING THE REM POSE FILES, in the Eve Collection tutorial for more about that. -------------------------------------- Files Included & Installation Instructions Unzip to runtime folder or manually place files at location shown: :runtime:libraries:Pose:PS_EveCollection:Utilities_V4:Zero Dials: Zero_ALL.png Zero_ALL.pz2 Zero_BodyMorphs.png Zero_BodyMorphs.pz2 Zero_HeadMorphs.png Zero_HeadMorphs.pz2 Zero_Morphs.png Zero_Morphs.pz2 Zero_Pose.png Zero_Pose.pz2 :runtime:libraries:Pose:PS_EveCollection:Utilities_V4:Readscripts:REM: !
